Anyone kinda wish they just dumped all the gen 4 pokemon at once rather than in waves? I just remember it being a lot more exciting during gen 1 and 2 when I'd catch 7 new pokemon and still a majority of the things on radar were silhouettes. Now it's like you catch 3 things and no more silhouettes.
They release it in waves with different 10km eggs/5km eggs to promote more incubator sales and raid pass sales.
yeah... i get that. it sucks kinda though. i wish they still had ultra rare opportunities for you to find all pokemon in the wild though. i know i'd flip out if i saw a zapdos just pop up on my radar vs. knowing he's sprinkled around a bunch of gyms on a lake. takes away some of the fun i feel like.
I feel like sometime since the spring spawns have become somewhat uninspiring in terms of at any one time there are the same pokemon and you never really have an opportunity anymore to catch anything special. If it is special, it's readily available. Like right now I hjave the same 10 or so pokemon available everywhere here and in two weeks that will shift again. When Gen 1 came out it seems like you could catch anything anywhere but certain pokemon had different spawn locations.
apparently I'm catching on super late if but you haven't, download Ingress to help find spawns in Go. it's the game whose backbone PoGo is built off of. you don't need to play it but if you're ever in a foreign area and don't know spawns or you're looking for where something could potentially be, you load Ingress and anywhere you see blue/purple dots is a potential spawn in Go and anywhere there's a lot is a cluster spawn (when 3-5 mons pop up together tightly packed). like, I knew about Ingress for stops/gyms and whatnot but I wasn't aware it so directly laid out your spawns in Go. it's pretty eye-opening and it could be a really good tool if you're ever in a new place that's maybe a bit rural or something or you just don't know the area and where the big spawn places are, it's great.
Are gifts more rare? I’ve hit like 20 stops today and got 2 gifts. I’m not maxed out in my inventory for gifts either
amazing CD. 3 shinies is decent I guess (low CP/IV) and no weather boosts but I still came out with 850 CP and 6 good level 30s (all 3k+) so now I got a full squad of Metagross with an absurdly OP charge move that makes them an S-tier generalist and overall amazing attacker. Saving the 130+ left for a x2 transfer event then gonna get over 800 candy from those to be able to feed my squad as they climb towards max level.
this is the 2nd CD where the best IV I've gotten has come from a non-CD mon (got a 98 IV level 35 Koffing during Eevee day). Lures are weird.
I had a pretty good day. Was able to evolve all of these 93+ metas and came away with two perfect others as a bonus. Only 3 shiny mbeldums but I’m fine with that because they just collect space.
lucked out finding a shiny in like 5 beldums, and had a bunch of candy from 10k eggs prior so got the shiny metagross. but only spent half an hour out there. thing that sucks is all my pinaps were pretty much gone from the new pokemon released this week, and i'm not going to spend time walking around/driving catching 100 beldums just to get 3 metagross.
Ended up playing only 20 minutes yesterday. Short 8 candies for a Meta. Wish I could have played all afternoon
I was wine drunk at a festival and got one evolved. It was my Beldum I’d hatched months ago that was an 89. Whatever. Now he’s a top 6 CP Mon for me.
that was definitely not the CD to miss, guys. Metagross is like a top 3 generalist now, barely behind Rayquaza and Shadow Ball Mewtwo. Meteor Mash is basically Steel's version of Dynamic Punch, except Metagross has higher Attack and way higher Defense than Machamp so it just lasts forever. with the most resistances in the entire game (12), it's basically fine to throw against anything that isn't Fire. also, due to matchups anything it hits for SE damage it resists, which is stupidly good.
I'm glad I had 2 96's saved and 120 candy before the event even started. My Metagross army is pretty solid with 1 93 lucky, 4 96, and 1 shiny all with the moveset.
all 5 of my shiny metagrosses are crap but they're gonna be used as trade fodder with some best/ultra friends to swap for reroll.
Doing the same. Went into the day with around 600 candies...evolved two non-shinies (98/93) and 8 shinies (all crap). Left quite a few "good" regulars unevolved so I could go for the re-rolls. Swapping one a day with a friend who did the same.
it's an attacker so I gave zero fucks about IV really. I picked my top 6 based on their Attack (4 15s, 2 14s) for the most part. They all ended up between 73 and 89 but the difference between those a perfect is almost negligible anyway.
https://pokemongohub.net/post/news/...esearch-leaks-in-pokemon-gos-network-traffic/ halloween event incoming. new gen 4 pokemon with it. spoilers in the link. ghost darks everywhere.
got my Giratina, 91 with double Ghost moves, I'm happy. first raid boss I've gotten with a crit catch, too.
"oh look, Gengar day, that's awesome!" *sees shiny Gengar* *sees Psychic as special move* like cmon with this bullshit, Niantic. I'm doing the 5 raids just for TMs, rare candy, and XP but that's it. I neither care about the shiny (that barely qualifies as a shiny) or that trash-ass moveset.
30ish people at my deoxys raid. No joke everyone but me caught the thing. I swear I’m cursed with this game.
double candy and i can't find a piplup to get that emperor penguin all week. was everywhere the week before. urgh. but i did find a gengar, pinap'ed, now got 40 easy candies to power up my other battle gengars with, along with all the gastly everywhere. good times.
Didn’t get to do any Gengar raids because the gyms kept glitching. Had 5 people and only 2 of us could ever actually raid
They will in Gen 4 and they are supposed to be good. This is a copy and paste from the Pokemon GO Hub: Honchkrow has a MAX CP of 2566, paired with an ATK of 243, DEF of 103 and STA of 200, which puts it in the running for one of the best attacking DARK types in the game, but we will get into more of that, below.
i've always been curious, because i don't believe i've ever come across a shiny after an event, but when they release a shiny is it event specific or is it out in the world after that for good? like could i click bulbasaur today and get a shiny bulba, or shiny houndour?
