This video helped more than I’d care to admit. You’ll know some of these tips, but I doubt anyone knows them all.
You realize you don’t actually have to shave, just go into the menu and change anything by 1 length and it lets you continue.
i'm lazy af are they listed out? also, re: behind in online play - don't squad up with 47straight, trofie, kelsou etc... notorious in Division for having people with low gear scores in their squad in the dark zone and picking fights with highly rated players so those of us that were behind on gear got slaughtered while they had a grand time
TLAU was the little brother that wanted to play football with his older brother and his friends. Get out on the field and he gets destroyed then whines about it the rest of his life
Some of the ones I didn't know/most useful: In random events where someone horsejacks you, you can just whistle for your horse as they're riding off, and he'll buck the thief off(instead of having to shoot him). Repeated "up" pressed on the d-pad will make your horse come to you quicker It hurts your stam core, but smoke your premium cigarettes. they have cig cards in each of them Press analog stick in a direction when dismounting horse to dismount to that side Hunter/dead eye vision is useful when looting a house/dead bodies because it highlights things you may have missed Activating dead eye while reloading will skip the reload animation Holding b while viewing a catalog in a store will help you close out of the catalog faster than just repeatedly hitting b The same is true for looting multiple draws in a dresser/cabinet - just hold x Some in-world cliffs allow you to sit on them and observe scenery if you approach on foot Changing clothes before entering a region where you have a bounty makes it harder for the law to recognize you If you lose your horse, you can hitch a ride on NPC carriages passing by Save one of the pocket watches you find on a body, equip it, and you can look dapper checking the time from the same wheel option that your binoculars appear in Aim a gun at a "blind" person to figure out if they're actually blind If you find a random escaped prisoner in the wild, shoot his shackles off when he asks, he'll give you a hot tip on an easy robbery...then you can hog tie him, return him to a sherriff's office, and get a reward.
You can also get a ton of cards by just buying premium cigs at the store for 5 bucks each then discarding them.
Oh, maybe his point was smoking them to get rid of them, so that you have room to pick up more. Not sure why you wouldn't just discard them...
are you supposed to sell the cards, or keep them until you have a "set" to mail off? there's an option at most general stores and such to sell the card.
I think you can sell duplicates for sure, but I would keep one of each, I haven’t completed a set yet so not sure how t works when you mail them, but I assume you lose the card
Just walked up to a family house. Killed everyone. Looted the house and picked up a pump action shotgun, 3 stacks of money, 1 large bag of jewelery and other items... Then I spent the night in one of their beds. What a great success.
So I’m hunting the legendary moose, I shoot it in the head with an enhanced arrow as recommended for a clean kill, then the fucker runs into the river and dies in the deep part where I can’t get to it. I tried to load the auto save from right before I started hunting but apparently it auto saved the moment my arrow struck the moose. Now I have a notification saying I abandoned the legendary moose corpse. Wtf
$3.75 with discount... and can just discard the cigarettes and buy more packs. and you do end up getting multiples.
use your lasso and reel him in to the edge of the lake. you can skin him(or her, because it's wrong to assign gender like that...) then
He sank. I don’t think lassoing is/was an option. Now there’s not even a body that I can find and his icon is X’d out on the map EDIT: or she. Whichever
I had the exact same thing happen, tried to lasso but it just sunk. The pelt was at the trapper but I missed out on selling it. Still could have all the parts crafted though.
I think I fucked up and sold my legendary bear pelt to the trapper. Guess there’s no way of getting that back?
I'm still in chapter 2. Does the gang stay camped at horseshoe overlook the entire time? Can you choose where to move the camp?
I’m still a little confused by pelts. I like to turn my 3 stars into my camp to try to craft things. If I turn it in there, does it permantly say I have X amount of pelts, even if I craft something? Same thing with the trappers. If I sell a pelt to a trapper, but craft something that requires that pelt, do I lose that “requires 1” do I have to go get a new pelt to craft a new item?
Even the butcher in camp? Like I’ve got 3 perfect elk pelts, if I craft something that requires 1, it’ll go down to 2?
Scope in on an animal with binoculars if you can. If you hit "show info" it should show you if they are "pristine", "good", or "poor".
To add on to this, when you zoom in on an animal, in the bottom right corner next to the name of the animal will be up to three stars (in a triangle shape). 1 star means the pelt is poor, 2 stars means it's good, 3 means it's pristine (assuming you don't ruin the pelt with bad marksmanship).
That's kind of annoying, but whatever. Would be nice to have camp set up next to whatever area you want to explore. It's getting annoying having to ride halfway across the map to go back to camp and donate things so I can free up space in my inventory.
Yes it is. Having been using cinematic mode more than I’ve thought I would. Tho If I don’t, I get side tracked with hunting.
Cut the shackles off a prisoner, he revealed a spot to raid, but it’s not showing up on the map. Is it kind of an area of effect thing, once I’m close to it it’ll turn up white?
Just finished the Epilogue. Man I really envy anyone who can beat this game and go right into RDR1 having never experienced the story
The answer to this is there’s no way to discard them, and so far as I can tell, no one buys. I’ve checked general store, fence, everything.
You don’t really need to go back to camp all that often. It moves with the story which is why you don’t choose where to put it.
Was hunting the legendary fish with the 1 legged guy. Was at it for 25 minutes before I just quit. I basically walked up to the ram and boar and just executed them with ease.
Nope will just have to remember the name of the person/place when you come across it, but now it will be robable
