Hue basically said that Mayfield struggling was why he was fired. It was everyone's fault. Except for Hue's. He's a piece of shit.
To be fair to Hue (not that he deserves it), he went on with Cowherd (I think) and went into detail on those comments and like most things the media runs, it seemed out of context... ... Or he just walked it back as best as possible. Baker is obviously a big-time competitor so it shouldn't surprise anyone when he doesn't respect a dude that goes to a rival
I like Baker and think Hue is a joke but it's not like Hue quit and went to a Rival. He was fired and got offered a money.
Baker doesn't care how or why you are working for an in-division rival, you went. Hue is now on Baker's list
Baker hates Hue the most for the fact that he didn't even give him a chance to compete for the starting job from the jump.
Spoiler ADKINSra 6315 posts 106 minutes agoVIP ***About this head coach opening*** -- The Browns have not 'officially' discussed their head coach opening with any potential candidate at this point in time, theOBR has learned. -- Adding Bruce Arians as the head coach, while retaining OC Freddie Kitchens and DC Gregg Williams has caught the attention of the team owner. -- TheOBR has learned, GM John Dorsey didn't head into the head coach search process with Williams on his list but believes he owes it to the ORG, the coach and the process to have him in his sights due to having first-hand knowledge of what Williams is doing with the team. -- Dorsey had a brief, pleasant exchange with Arians when the former coach was in town doing the Browns game for CBS. -- Dorsey also happened to run into Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley when the GM was scouting the Sooners and West Virginia Mountaineers. -- Dorsey did run into OSU head coach Urban Meyer and OC Ryan Day, while in Columbus scouting the Ohio State - Michigan game Saturday.
If we keep playing like this....do you even mess with it?? Have another good draft, sign a few free agents, and why doesn't this team make the playoffs next year? My concern is that we haven't seen a Cleveland team play this well in years, does bringing in a new HC and tinkering with the staff potentially fuck that up at all?
pretty sure he's getting paid by the browns, and the money cincy offered him simply comes out of his haslam allotment. for all intents and purposes he's working for free. i understand wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to work with an old employer, but the bengals' motives were pretty transparent with two games against the browns left on the schedule and hue still opted in to try and fuck a group of guys he had promised to "lead." i understand why players are pissed at him
the key to the offense isn't williams, it's kitchens. and i'd be fine with retaining him williams is better than hue, but we should be setting the bar a lot higher than that
I am taking the wait and see approach. The first week was a wash. Rarely does an interim win his first week - too many distractions; too many chances; to much too quickly. Not too mention that we played KC. In my mind, This crew is 2-0. If they win out....or even get this team to the playoffs...then I'm retaining them.
Baker special=End of the Sashi era Browns Randall INT=End of the Hue era Browns As for coaching, should the Browns end around .500 I'd keep Williams and Kitchens. Lincoln Riley would be the dream and as much as I like Ryan Day, NCAA OC to NFL HC is a hell of a leap and he will be Ohio St coach no later than 2020.
We currently sit at 12 in the draft. For arguments sake let’s say we stay there. Who do you take with that selection? -Dexter Lawrence -Greg Little -DreMont Jones -Derrick Brown -AJ Brown -N’Keal Harry
With the reemergence of Greg Robinson, I don't think we go LT at 12. I would assume we go elite defender. There really isn't a WR worth taking that high if an elite defender is available. A lot of OK WR's in this draft...but no big time, game breakers IMO.
I’d lean impact DT right now, but I could understand taking a WR at that spot. Agree on Robinson at LT, he’s been really solid the last few games.
The hit rate on 1st rd WRs the last 5 years or so has been horrendous. Trust Dorsey but I think you can find talented guys later.
Kitchens went and watched game film of OU with Baker. Using RB's and TE's in mismatches against LB's and getting them the ball in space. Seems like Baker has 6-7 TD passes to RB's since the departure of the retard coaches
When Hollywood throws a 4.3 down at the combine, folks gonna clamoring for his services. He's a freak
He was pure speed last year. This year, he's made strides in high pointing balls, come down with contested grabs, etc. I think he's currently a fringe 1, probably second rounder, but if he runs like we think he will... He'll be a 1
