I don't know much. Bungie has been pretty tight lipped about this one. Adding 5 new exotic weapons, new raid, and some new forge activities is all I know. I think the forges are kind of like Escalation Protocol maybe.
Just got to the robot lady. You basically get a weapon frame and then go on a quest for them. Bout to buy the annual pass to have a go at them. Looks like a machine gun and auto rifle to start with
May try that today. I’m most likely in way over my head and under leveled but hoping to get some drops to help level me up. Still fun to do some new Destiny stuff since I haven’t done any in awhile.
Also is anyone would like to go do any of the old raids I’m down for whenever. I’ve never done any raid and would at least try them. I did just get a 532 engram from killing one of the cabal at the beginning of leviathan so not sure if they’re dropping to light level as I’m a 522
Yeah that’s what I did. You get 3-5 with just those front guards each time. Unlocked the forge and it’s a 610 so that’s gonna be a doozy. My teammates are gonna hate me.
Yeah that forge is impossible even if you are at max level apparently. What a shitty way to release content. They should have at least made leveling up a possibility for the people who paid money for the expansion instead of requiring casual players like myself having to grind for hours upon hours to even remotely compete in it.
We tried last night with both of us at around 602. Its doable at that level but you definitely need 3 people on the same page.

Depends on how much you like the Destiny grind I would say. It basically gave us a new activity, new raid, and new weapons to grind for all at a new higher level. Bungie said they have plans in the works for a way for people that are too low level to catch up to be able to do this new stuff.
I’m just grinding right now for powerful engrams. Doing all the daily and weekly stuff and I’m up to a 535 now so should be able to do nightfall and get some more stuff. May hit up the 100 for some Sherpa guides through the old and then new raid to help level up. Probably grind on the well also. I haven’t had the time to really invest in the game so now that I do I figured why the hell not. I think I have you added on friends but if not my tag is JHawk38. I’ve mentioned it but I’m laid up post surgery so just gaming all day
It's pretty hard to find people running the old raids anymore. I tried to get some people to run them so I could try and get the Sleeper catalyst but got crickets. Shoot me an invite and we'll get you through the Nightfall no problem. aussiebrew33 is my PSN
Last Wish loot is really starting to irritate me. We ran it again last night and I still have nothing worth a damn after 10 or so runs.
I know how to do the well. Looks like these daily heroic missions are where it’s at. Tried the one in dreaming city but it’s pretty intense. You get powerful gear for them. Should be easy with multiple player
Feel free to add me as well. This week is a good week to try Escalation because the flashpoint is on Mars. I was just there trying to do that and there were a lot of groups running it. Pretty sure that shotgun is dropping this week as well.
Dreaming City stuff is the best way to level outside of Prime Engrams. If you don't have a lot of time in a week definitely prioritize those.

New raid looks awesome. Unfortunately I'm not even close to being able to run it yet. Jax Teller saw your invite yesterday but I was only home for a little bit for lunch so didn't have time to get into any shenanigans.
I think it's some pretty cool content but they should have given people a way to catch up in light so they could participate in them.
It's not even that so much, my issue is that it's totally rehashed, stale content. Not only is it not something new or creative it's just Prison of Elders/Court of Oryx/Escalation Protocol/Gambit-lite etc all over again. And the "quests" in between are more of the same 'go get X amount of these types of kills' or 'kill Y enemies' that we've seen since Crota like 4 years ago. There is absolutely nothing in this expansion that we haven't seen before.
Very true. I didnt really expect anything ground breaking I guess. But I do like the new raid and I'm a huge fan of being able to farm a particular weapon for the roll I want instead of being at the mercy of pure RNG. But I'm just happy to have something to do. Much better than after TTK where Bungie basically abandoned the game.
I suppose, if only because they increased the light cap. Taken King was so fucking good though that I didn't mind replaying it for months
Agreed. I still think D2 needs more loot. The general loot pool for a lot of activities is severely lacking. Especially crucible. Also they need to bring back more perks from D1. Especially stability perks like hand laid stock and perfect balance.
