I fucked my back up yesterday, I now empathize with Uncle and his lumbago.

 

Stumbled across some Lemoyne Raiders trying to free one of their guys from a jail wagon. Killed the ones trying to free him and then set fire to the wagon with the guy still alive inside.

 

Killing confederate lost causers is the best thing about this game

 

How do you do this? Throw a lantern at it?

I saw some video where some guy tied up a Lemoyne Raider and threw him in a boat, then he shot holes in the bottom of the boat, it sank and the raider drowned.

Had no idea you could do that.

 

I did the same exact thing but with dynamite. The guy said something along the lines of “you’ve got to be kidding me I’m already locked in a cage”... cinematic cam as I trotted off into the sunset

I found the eugenics dude in Saint Denis. Beat the ever living shit out of him and killed him with the knife. Not a single person decided to be a witness

 

I like waiting by the train tracks for a train to head close and then tossing them on the tracks.

 

Just did this one last night. Felt real fucking good.

 

The best part was no one being a witness. You look at someone wrong in that town and someone runs to get the cops

 

Yeah, I chased him down, hogtied him on the pier and then rode around town with him on the back of my horse, looking for the best place to kill him, and no one said a damn thing.

 

Who is the eugenics dude and where is he in St Denis.

I found him by the dude playing the trumpet. Standing kinda near the newspaper kid

i hate saint denis. i cannot go anywhere without bumping into somebody and them crying to the police.

 

And the police pull their guns on you!

 

I literally was bringing a dying stranger to the doctor to save his life and bumped into someone getting off my horse. Cops actually gunned me down in the doctor’s office. They killed the guy I was saving as well

 

I was riding through the docks area in Saint Denis behind one of factorys. Bumped a guy and got jumped by 20 dock workers. Knocked 15 of em out before an old black guy got me down for the count.

Strolled up to rob a random cabin i saw in between strawberry and valentine today. Walked in and this old lady was reading a book a chair. She told me she’s been expecting me and to go down to the cellar. Went down to the cellar and stole a semi auto shotgun. Went back upstairs and lady finally realized it wasn’t me who she was expecting. Had to hogtie her and loot the rest of the cabin. Ended up walking out with semi auto shotgun, bunch of jewelry and some cash.

 

Go back in 3 days.

I've been legitimately trying to finish the story (in Chapter 6 now) but I will constantly get distracted. Whether it's hunting or fishing or a random encounter, it always takes me twice as long to do anything as I anticipate. Plus, I'm always scared if I progress the main story too far some of the "stranger missions" will disappear.

 

Finished the game and I’m still doing stranger missions

 

Worked up a $605.00 bounty in St Denis after trying to evade the law in this this Charles Chatenay mission. Unreal. Fuck St Denis.

 

Anybody ever “called out” to an animal to get a clean kill? Trying to do the Master Hunter challenge

 

I've never used that function for anything - animals, people on horses/wagons, etc.

 

i have not held anybody up at gun point and robbed them. i'm a real nice guy and only loot dead bodies.

 

So dumb that you get negative karma for that.

 

Especially if they're already dead.

Yeah it's pretty easy. Just make sure you have a straight look at their head when you do it. It's pretty unncessary, just makes them pick their head up so you can headshot. I did it for the challenge.

 

i havent really looked at the challenges too much. i think i nearly 100% RDR, this one is a lot slower play for me.

 

I wrapped up my 100% last week and thought I would jump right in and start working on the 70 gold medals. I got 3 in and had to take a break. You can be 14 minutes into a 15 minute mission and fuck up one tiny little thing and have to restart the whole mission over. I had planned on getting platinum for the game, but I don’t know now. Those gold medals are fucking brutal.

 

I really like the challenges in this game. I don't know if I'll bother to do all the collectibles, but the challenges can be fun and feel like mini-missions. Who would have ever thought it would be so hard to shoot 5 birds from a moving train.

 

It took me until today to discover how to find the exact time of day in this game.

 

I think I am officially a griefer online. There is really nothing to do once you have your money built up. You get fucked with enough you just want to fuck with other people. They need some more stuff to do.

 

are there missions to do in all the free roam choices in the online menu? I haven't had a ton of time to play since online came out and was kinda waiting until they hopefully fix the money shit with the non-beta release. probably will keep playing story mode more until I finish the game and hope they fix all the online shit.

They really need to install a bounty type system like the dark zone in Division for killing random other players online in free roam. Only part of it I really dislike...

 

I remember in RDR my friends and I would literally play one mission over and over and over.

that tweet about saying "howdy" was so spot on. i am trying to get to max honor, i should just spend a couple hours saying hello to everybody in saint denis.

 

In online you have stranger missions and story missions. There are 7-8 story missions and countless stranger missions. The story missions are pretty fun and are independent of other players in your server. The stranger missions can be attacked by other players. Even after you have done your story missions where they will no longer be on your map, they are 3-4 players missions and you can get into online matchmaking and keep doing them with other people. You can get 10-15 dollars and 250xp for them.

The stranger missions will be go kill these guys, go steal this wagon for me, etc. They can be enjoyable with your posse but you get done and get .04 gold, 5 dollars and like 100xp which is a total waste of time.

You also have the death matches. You will be in Armadillo with 16 other people and whoever gets the most kills in 10 minutes wins. I have won one before and got $30 and 500xp. If you are good at the game this is probably the best way to make money and level up.

The money still isn't great, but if you play for 2-3 hours you can do a little hunting, do some missions and have made 200 bucks. You also get rewarded treasure maps which you find 100-120 dollars every 5-10 rankings so that helps. I've played a good bit and am rank 25, I kind of always have at least 300 bucks and can basically afford whatever I need within reason. I bought a better (decent) horse, have bought 3-4 different guns, can afford all of the tonics and a couple different reasonable outfits.

 

Max honor is no fun. Towards the end you will get some obvious choices in a few missions that give you the chance to dramatically improve your honor.
