My favorite side is mashed cauliflower. Cut up a head of cauliflower and steam/braise in homemade chicken stock (kids call it bone broth now). Toss in a stick of butter, season with some salt, and blend/mash. 1 cup is approx. 8 net carbs.
Please share any and all zoodle recipes pls I’m trying to steer the wife away from spaghetti squash (which I hate) and towards more zoodle recipes (which I actually quite enjoy)
Make the zoodle and pan fry with butter or sesame oil and garlic, chili etc Key is to cook it hot and fast. If you wanted it with red sauce or white I would flash cook the noodles and then spoon sauce over the top. It takes the flavor of whatever you are cooking with
just browned some 85% ground beef while sautéing broccoli and mushrooms in butter, added it together, threw in some sour cream and some braggs liquid aminos and woo boy we got a delicious fatty basically carb free stew cookin
I wasn’t sure if I wanted a “stroganoff” or a blast of asian flavor so I went with both the sour cream and the aminos
I’ve got some chorizo coming in my grocery order on Thursday. Going to make some patties to go over some mashed cauliflower, topped with some goat cheese. No idea why, but it sounded phenomenal.
the best thing about keto is you can throw a bunch of random shit together and fry it in butter and it tastes like jesus himself finished in my mouth
It’s Jacques, so I’m sure he buys non-stick skillets by the pallet, but I’m offended by the fork use.
do this but add in some shaved gruyere cheese fucking incredible edit: I also use an immersion blender
Ate pork rinds for the first time in my life. Very filling. Seem to be an easy potato chip replacement.
Started the same time as you. Started getting a headache overnight and have had it all day. Will be glad when this part is over. My guess is headache is salt related. I grabbed a bag of pork rinds because it was the highest salt content I have access too currently and it seems to have helped some.
Anyone tried Zevia soft drinks? Bought a 6-pack of the cola to try - I assume it will be better than the ocassional Diet Coke I’ve had.
Yea, I broke my chemex and a new one is $45. I don’t like being addicted either. I’d rather drink it on occasion instead of a necessity to function.
I never had the digestive issues ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ wonder if it’s because I generally ate fairly clean before switching
Had a favorite dinner of mine tonight and I think it fits perfect for the diet. If you like to cook, read on, if not, never mind. Sous Vide burgers. Get yourself a few pounds of ground chuck, usually a decent amount of fat in there. Make your mixture, anything you normally would to make a burger, sans carbs. If you want to get a leaner cut, that's fine, just add more fat when you mix the raw burger. Make in to the weight of choice but remember when you sous vide, you are not losing moisture, so a 8 ounce burger is going to be damn near 8 ounces when you are done vs. a grill where you easily lose 2-3 ounces and more importantly, all that good fat in the process. I usually get 5 pounds of chuck at a time, form into 8 ounces and freeze. Cook time is hour room temp and I go two when frozen. Burger is always perfectly cooked, whether you are on the rare spectrum or well done. All the fat. Also, if you like cheese, makes a great inside out burger if that is your thing. Not required though because it's always moist and perfect without cheese all over the fucking place.
I make all my purchases strictly from T-MB recommendations so what specific multivitamins do you all take? We talking Centrum type shit? Really I'm asking because I don't know anything and have never taken any type of vitamin ever.
I've fully bought into Rogan's junk science that krill oil is better but strong agree about the fish oil. Probably placebo but I noticed a difference in inflammation and my skin clearing up.
I’m cooking right now (loose meat ground pork “burgers” with sautéed onions and mozzarella cheese served with ranch and avocado) but I’ll post some supplements momentarily
@1 I’ve been taking this one for some time. it has a good profile and it’s cheap. It does have polyethylene glycol in it (lots of multis and electrolyte supplements do) so if that’s an issue I can post other recommendations https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/muscletech/essential-series-platinum-multivitamin.html
I’ve just been doing a couple eggs for breakfast and a couple cheese sticks for lunch to try and keep in check at work.
