He’s not going to win anyway, but the wall isn’t as crucial as it’s being advertised. He’ll never drop below 30%, wall or not. He’s been losing support from day one because of the totality of his awfulness and incompetence. But his core supporters and evangelicals will never leave him, even if there’s no wall.

Most contractors are working on contracts that are obligated/funded. It’ll pinch delivery deadlines and may result in no-cost extensions but people are most likely going to get paid. Also, companies should have contingency plans for times like these.

so not to get too in the weeds, the overall policy opinions tend to be unchanging, but the policy positions of parties change and the overall political opinion of the country does as time passes. you could likely continue that graph past the silent generation with similar change gaps. on the biggest issues of our time the GOP is fucked, now can they rebrand themselves to be more friendly to younger generations absolutely, but racially conservative pandering to whites, small government/trickle down nonsense, immigration restrictionism, has died as a policy platform in the long term.
