Yep, he made the one mistake but I am sure a lot of Clemson players gained some respect for Alohi, especially Etienne. He wasn’t hit as hard once in the bama game as what gillman gave him. He is the anti max redfield
honestly the entire D had a decent game. They were a bit unlucky and they pressed too much when it showed that the offense wasnt gonna do a thing
No mention of Killy being a terrible person for allowing Gilman to play for him = AATC did not write the letter.
So reading between the lines with the Irish Illustrated podcast, Denson's shortcomings as a recruiter is due to the fact that he has a soul. The gist was, the top Christian 1AA school suits him better than the recruiting trail in major college football. Good luck Autry, still one of my all-time favorite players. And if I heard correctly, sounds like we could have Alford but it's not happening. You don't leave Kelly for a lateral move and expect to be welcomed back.
Timeline for running back coach is not urgent. Multiple power 5 coaches have reached out to them with interest in addition to the names floated out there so far by Sampson/Prister.
I'd like to have a guy in place by signing day. Hopefully someone who can hammer Georgia. (I know we aren't stealing anyone this year)
I'm kind of torn on this. If Kelly's pride is the only reason he's passing, I'm pretty annoyed. If he's passing because Alford is an average position coach, I guess I'm ok with that but he better deliver an ace recruiter with the hire.
Was it under Alford when his guys were running the wrong way through the gauntlet? I can’t remeber the stat but something like ND RBs didn’t fumble in like 400 carries. That impressive and just a shame Denson couldn’t recruit.
Update on Liufau Spoiler It’s strange to use a headline like that, but it seems necessary at this point. A report surfaced on Wednesday following practice at the Polynesian Bowl regarding Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou three-star linebacker Marist Liufau and Notre Dame, the school he signed with on Dec. 19. Irish Illustrated and 247Sports wanted to clear things up a bit. The chatter was regarding the fact that there is a chance the 6-3, 210-pounder won't enroll with his fellow 2019 classmates this June and may need to wait until the winter months or even next summer to arrive on campus, which is essentially a gray shirt. If that takes place, he would essentially be free to look at other schools. USC is one school that would welcome him with open arms. The Trojans recruited him hard late in the process, but he chose Notre Dame even with the knowledge of a potential gray shirt. None of this is new news to the talented Hawaiian. 247Sports analyst Blair Angulo caught up with Liufau to set the record straight. “I just know that I signed,” said Liufau, who made it clear that he’s not considering any other schools now and won’t be in the future. “I committed, signed and all I know is that I’m going to be there. I don’t know when though.” As we’ve been saying for quite some time, which was essentially confirmed again by Liufau, there aren’t a ton of scholarships to give at this point. Notre Dame may need to add him to the 2020 class instead of 2019, which is something that the staff was more than upfront about during the recruiting process. “They just said that scholarships are tight,” said Liufau, when asked about the situation and what he was told. All that said, nothing is set on this front. There is still a possibility he arrives this summer, but may have to wait to enroll at a later date. In the end, no matter when the moment comes, he fully intends to enroll at Notre Dame as a student-athlete and begin his career with the Fighting Irish. “It doesn’t really affect anything,” said Liufau. “I just them because I want to be there. If I do have to wait, I’m willing to.” So, with offers to play right away from schools that want him to enroll this summer and potentially contribute as a freshman, why is he willing to wait for Notre Dame? For Liufau, the answer is simple. “That program overall is great, no doubt, but honestly, I felt at home over there. My parents loved it too,” said Liufau
Autry Denson was one of my favorite players growing up. NCAA Gamebreaker 99 Natty Champs! He's a good man and hopefully everything works out for him.
Two in one class with Bertrand as well. Not sure if he is going to PWO for one year or greyshirt though
Liufau has been killing it at the poly bowl practices. A lot of good talent there too. Shoulda had Kiser greyshirt.
Elijah Burns made a really bad decision too. He’d be playing a ton of minutes in the ACC right now but instead he’s sitting out the year to play for Siena.
Matt Ryan's also playing 25 minutes a game and averaging 10 points a game for Vanderbilt. Sounds like it worked out for him, but would he be the star of this year's team had he just stayed and developed in Brey's system?
We just offered this kid. He’s almost as old looking as old man safety. https://247sports.com/Player/Bryce-Gowdy-46050312/
If he wants any shot at playing next year this is an easy decision You can’t gain 20 pounds of necessary playing weight running track in the spring. Get with Balis ASAP Braden
Oh, gotcha. No argument there. Did the school just realize this and decide to take action? Or is this an annual thing now?
