I'd planned on going with some plain embossed cards. But I love the mountains and everyone in my life knows that about me, so I thought these cards were a nice incorporation of that while still looking classy.

My only complaint is that when they get wet the little circles squeak really bad.

I really like it a lot. It’s heavy but it’s prerty nice to sleep under. I obviously don’t toss and turn as much as I’m weighed down but not so much as it’s uncomfortable if that makes sense.

Few days late to the Inversion Table talk, but had a Teeter for a few years. The ankle comfort on them are amazing. It helped my back out, especially if I woke up and it was tight. Worked up to about 20 minutes hanging at a time. Wound up selling it bc I wanted the space back. Got a pull up bar with some gravity boots.

I would definitely give it a shot. I read a lot about what weight to get using a formula (10% of body weight + a few pounds) and of course, in the end, I disregarded it and got my 115 lbs wife the 20 lbs blanket. She seems to like it though but does mention it is very heavy. She always has had trouble sleeping and has anxiety and I think it has helped that.

My parents paid for a 55 inch HDTV Mitsubishi back in the day (before the TDKR, so it was close to the top of the line outside of the rich) and I wanted to show my dad and youngest brother Nolan’s newest on some beautiful blu-ray.

I stick in the movie and I’m like, ‘wtf, this opening scene is the shit, why does it look so trashy...ohhhh’

Me to my father, ‘did you set the Blu-Ray player up?’

Dad, ‘no, your mom did. I don’t watch this, you know I’m usually asleep early’ he chuckles

Me, ‘I know you don’t like technology, but you are always smart and figure things out, why didn’t you do it?’

Dad, ‘I don’t ever watch it, what’s wrong? It looks great!’

Me,’I might as well steal your blu-ray player and just set up your DVD player again.’

Not hooked up with HD cable and played standard. My youngest brother, who was 10 at the time, ‘I told mom that looked crappy but you know I wasn’t going to get far into that argument.’

I switched the HD cable from their satellite reciever over to the blu-ray player and we both enjoyed the movie while my dad commented, ‘that looks so much better!’

The next morning I was awoken to my mom yelling at me because, ‘what the hell did you do to my television, ABC is all blurry now!!!’

TLDR: I’m technology dumb but the olds always make me feel better about myself

I spent a few days trying to explain to my mother why she needed to add 1000 to the channel number to watch it in HD, then showed her the difference. Showed her how she just needed to bring up the menu, and hit enter when it prompts you, “watch in HD?”

She still watches everything in standard definition. :bang:

I want to get something like this that is light with a good battery life for traveling. I like the functionality that makes it a tablet and also allows for the computer set up. Just for the internet/watching stuff/recipes in the kitchen etc. I feel like this should be fine but is there a reason to jump to the next tier price wise?

    Lenovo Chromebook C330 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop, 11.6-Inch HD (1366 x 768) IPS Display, MediaTek MT8173C Processor, 4GB LPDDR3, 64 GB eMMC, Chrome OS, 81HY0000US, Blizzard White

I would advocate for jumping to the $350-$450 range, yes. That takes you into the 'high-end chromebook tier'. Better build quality, nicer screen, good battery, usually convertable, often w/ stylus. You can spend $500-$1000 or more on Chromebooks, but the main upgrade is an intel processor that is mostly overkill.

That mediatek processor will choke or stutter on YT/Netflix and multiple tabs. I have always found recipe websites to be poorly optimized and run autoplay videos which will add more workload. You will be happier with a full HD (e.g. 1080) screen rather than that screen which is just over 720p. For reference, my screen is 2400 x 1600 and looks very very sharp. I have the 1st gen (meaning from Jan 17) Samsung Chromebook Plus. It is marked down to $299 (today only?) at Frys w/ coupon code. If you have one of those near you, I can FWD you the code. The second gen (from Fall 2018) is very similar and is on Amazon right now @ $399. Both of these samsung's work in tablet mode when you fold over the screen. Android apps still need some more optimization from Google, but its super convenient to have the United app (for instance) on my laptop when i'm on a plane. USB type-c connectivity is the future and its nice to not have a proprietary connector. my chromebook charger charges both my phone and chromebook, and vice versa with my phone charger.

Here is a lot of words, that I stand behind. https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-chromebook/#the-competition

I don't have experience with that Asus they recommend, but my mom just got one, and prefers it to her ipad.

I have been a chromebook user for a while (including the first chromebook released, the CR48 prototype) and my Samsung Chromebook plus has been my favorite one. Feel free to shoot back with more questions.

What kind of battery life do you consistently get? Wish we still had our frys

Also, what do you think about this from that review about the samsung

But its Intel Celeron 3965Y processor isn’t quite fast enough for most people’s needs—we experienced poor performance while running a single Android app (Spotify) in the background with just a handful of tabs open (Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar, a webpage, and Google Drive), and we experienced frequent Android app crashes and lag that we didn’t encounter on the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA.

I'm terrible with an objective measurement like "avg battery life". I can only tell you how long my android phone's batter lasts because it calculates and shows it to you under battery stats. I don't have that crutch on my chromebook, but I would say i'm always impressed by how long it takes to run down.

and re the Samsung comparison remark -
I think chrome is a memory hog, no matter what platform (android, windows, or chrome os ) but if the Chromebook flip doesn't encounter that lag, then more power to it. Even my intel-i7 chromebox desktop sometimes stutters.

best buy or someone else might price match for you if you are trying to make a quick purchase... that you can buy now and decide over the next 15 days or w/e their return policy is.

I wish I had been home to see my moms Asus Chromebook flip. Supposed to be very nice build quality with great battery life. The screen on the samsung is objectively nicer though, by a good margin. I would have no qualms with either one.
