I’m already pissed that Sporting is the only MLS team drawn vs a MX team but also they have to go play in the second toughest road game in North America. Watched their last preseason game and they were gassed around 65-70. No way they survive La Bombonera.
They were flying in from Hawaii where they got destroyed by a relegated J League team in the Pacific Rim Cup. The Seattle flight was delayed 14 hours due to weather. Blame God. Or The Don. It’s about the same.
I’ve been saying it for years. Write a huge check to Big Phil. Sign a bunch of young Brazilians and an older star or two. Then go to work.
Just more Anti-Sporting bias by DonG and his band of evil doers. Reports are Ilie is already demanding a trade to a league with a real jersey sponsor.
RSL playing in Phoenix tomorrow night Maybe we can have a go at Las Vegas' "record" if they're as shambles as noted in here.
Watched Minnesota/New England here in Orlando. Both sides are pretty rough for this stage of the pre season. Loons won 1-0 on a stupid mistake by the keeper. Got caught in possession and turned it over for an easy goal. Meanwhile Orlando starts 3 FBs and 2 CB. Just relegate us now please. Also fuck the Nani signing. He will get the Will Johnson treatment.
Orlando City won 2-1 in the 2nd match. It seems that JOC has been watching Pep's greatest hits with the formation and tactically stuff from tonight. Going from 3 at the back in possession to a ball side 5. Lots of high pressing with 3 or 4 players. Just a very different fluid look from last season rigid mess. Shane O'Neil seemed be playing a CB/CM role. Numerous times he stepped into the central midfield with the ball. Seb Mendez at least for one night looked like everything people thought Christian Higuita was going to be when he arrived in the league. I would be a bit concerned if I was City America divison fan. Outside of a funky 30 yard shot that found the back of the net; the attack was extremely lacking. Defensively looked decent but still allowed Orlando to score 2 goals. Jon Lewis got 2 yellows with the last one being for a terrible dive that would make Mo Salah blush.
Also pretty sure Diego and Roger aren’t near the top of those lists even though they get called out for red cards every match they play.
I know that Clint Mathis had a lot, but the question is, will Zlatan also break that record this season?
Was looking at Tues line up. The games popped up on yahoosports.com but I couldn’t find them in the yahoo sports app. As long as we can cast them I don’t care.
That’s one of the best glitches I’ve seen but I agree almost as bad as what adidas did last year for champions league teams
