I really wasn’t aware this was a thing.
That being said, things like expensive watches, boutique sneakers, fancy cuff links and the like are lost on me. I probably just have never noticed.

 

Imagine thinking writing your name on your clothes makes you rich. Seems like "new money pretending to be old money" shit to me.

If you have a personal tailor who creates you bespoke clothing from scratch, you can get your initials monogrammed on it because it's truly one of a kind and created for you. If you're getting your initials stitched into your Chucky T's, that's just hilariously gauche.

And no hate on Chuck T by the way, I own a ton of them.

 

I have a tailor in London that selects a new wardrobe for me each season and customizes it to my measurements then sends it over.
