Will be first ever at large bid assuming we don't run the table in the aac tournament. But I guess they could?
I’m always a little confused when people talk shit about him as AD, he seems like he is exactly what anyone would want for their school’s AD; an outspoken voice doing everything they can to promote their athletics programs and drive interest
From a pure tv production perspective this game has been terribly produced. Audio is awful. Commentary is horrific. That camera is awkward.
Win and Cincy loses to UH and we get the 2 seed and would prob get USF in the 2nd round. I like that.
Is he just pure Iowa and happy or has he really not been offered any head coaching jobs anywhere else? Reason I ask is because when we was told to leave here, the uh..."legacy basketball fans" were incredibly upset and I'm sure many of them still are.
There are still a lot that romanticize his work as a coach. I like Kirk a lot, but I don't think he'd be noticeably better than JD. He's a good basketball coach and is a mediocre to average recruiter. Really nice guy though. Got to have a nice long conversation with him at a baseball game once.
Oh he is an awesome guy. My interactions with him as a student/young alumni were always good. He cared and was always open to conversations and doing the whole "give pizza to students in front of the union" stuff. He interacted with the crowd during games too.
As others have said, he's a really good Xs and Os guy, but think he lacks in the recruiting. I'm sure he's gotten other offers, but he is an Iowa guy. Took them to a final four as a player. He might be content with staying till retirement.
Being an assistant basketball coach at your alma mater and coasting into retirement sounds like a fucking dream.
So win today and we might bounce Temple off the bubble and cost ourselves money but we might be able to move up a seed line. Hope Temple makes a run in the conf tourney then.
An 8/9 seed would be worst case for us. They almost never make it past the second round. They win those less than 10-12 seeds I think.
Yeah 8/9 gets screwed over. They get the 1 seed in the second round I believe. We'd probably have to win the conference tourney to get to 7.
If you would have told me we would go 2-1 the last 3 games of the season a month ago I would have been happy but that was a disappointing loss. Good for temple and the conference though I guess
4 seed in the conf tourney. Win yesterday and we are the 2. I expect to lose in the first game we play to Memphis. Maybe it puts us in a good spot like 10 or 11 though where we are more likely to advance.
She is a stud and terrifying. She made a girl at Jimmy Johns remake her sandwich because she didn't like the ratio of everything. That girl looked like she was going to cry the way she dressed her down.
That doesn’t really surprise me but why was this even a study in the first place https://www.clickorlando.com/news/ucf-ranks-no-2-university-in-nation-for-most-students-with-sugar-daddies?__vfz=medium=sharebar
I think its better we lose and drop to the 10/11 than sit in that 8/9 slot by winning and having to go vs UH again.
These officials have been brutal. The 2nd Tacko foul was utter garbage, as was the flagrant for hookingand the illegal screen on Brown. We’ve played like shit but shouldn’t be losing by fucking ten.
How do we have a dude that is like the 3rd tallest dude in the world yet all we do is continue to chuck up and miss 3s?
