Anyway Odin CUtigers its downloading.. looking forward to our clan “destiny is for pussies” rocking out with our cocks out
Played 1st mission Love the look and feel It’s gonna take a bit to get used to menus again Do I get any rewards from playing the 1st My time in this game will be measured in days not hours
Hopefully they are fixing that skill big that resets shit to a 15s cooldown as soon as you use it. My drones wouldn't work last night
Their day 1 patch wreaked havoc on PC and PS4 users yesterday apparently. From like 2-4pm everyone was crashing with delta-3 errors every 5 minutes. I was using drones last night. About 50% of the time it would do the Houdini act 15-sec cooldown. But when it worked... the striker drone is a pretty great compliment to sniper+AR build. Especially since all the best gear drops I’ve gotten the last couple of levels have bonus/talent that’s + skill. Think I ended the night with 280 skill power that drone can take out 7-8 reds by itself as long as I pay a little attention and mark targets. Connected Ubisoft account to D2 they have weekly tasks on Ubisoft app/website you activate every Thursday when they refresh and they award in game XP and Ubisoft credits to basically order gear, materials, outfit pieces from the app that get delivered to your stash. Depends on when you stopped playing D1 if you stopped before the summer 18 patch then just some cosmetic BS but if you want a pretty good lvl3 blue smg to help in early missions then download D1 and log on XB1 I think you just have to load your old game and receive the immediate “arm patch award” and then you can quit and delete - then link Ubisoft acct the SMG will be in your stash
Also per Ubisoft I’ve got 29 hours logged so far. Yikes time flies..... at first I thought the game setup would make it a race to lvl30 but honestly with the DZ being normalized stats by tiers and how much fun shit there is to do besides main story missions I’m gonna do everything in each section of the map before moving on, sans the never ending pop-up encounters. Highly recommend people starting today to check the PSA posts on r/thedivision there’s a lot of really good tips some I wish I’d known going in.
Guy tried telling me in one r/ thread that skill power has no bearing on the skills output strength and ONLY serves as a requirement for Skill mods to be active. I am pretty sure or at least hoping that that is wrong because it would make the skill power attributes on gear pretty much useless until level 20 when you can actually put together a set that will get you the 400+ Skill power.
Easy to test. Take off your gear and look at the skill damage. Put it on and look at the skill damage. That'd be a pretty drastic change from td1.
Did that with a couple load outs with air burst seeker and sadly I think it’s true... gonna do it one more time to be sure but I think both times it was 339 damage increments. Also hot tip - the supply rooms of control points respawn their loot boxes except for yellow cache regularly. Right after a Level up > fast travel around and get a new gun and gear piece at your new level at each location
The info sheet on that one showing bosses and rewards is awesome. Been saving that one until I’ve got a decent crew.
Only got to play a little so far but like it Few things I am lost on Where is the over heal skill? Or any heal The ai is smart very smart Also I keep getting requests for back up but not sure what to do with it
There is no heal. That changed to armor kits so you can use a drone that repairs your armor or apply a kit to recharge your armor. The AI gets smarter and smarter. I played solo last night in a mission and the lost sons double flanked me. Requests for backup are new and are when solo players or groups request help in whatever they’re doing. It’s like an easy way for grouping but is usually available to trigger after you die. You can turn it off but after beta I think they limited it to one request per 15 minutes. There wasn’t any cool down during beta so it would legit get spammed constantly.
Access what? Your skills? You have to purchase them from the quartermaster. They cost the triangle point. Once you’ve unlocked each skill you use div tech to purchase additional sub skills. Like the turret has the regular machine gun. You can purchase the sniper for an additional 5 div tech. One thing I forgot to do was to visit the hide out once I went to a new zone. It keeps you from retracing your steps a ton by unlocking everything for that area.
Ohhh so when you die it’s an option that shows up before you respawn. I’m not sure I’ve seen it anywhere else.
When you are looking at the map you can press triangle on ps4. Whatever that corresponds to elsewhere.
I’m in the Kinda Funny clan from the KFG podcast. I figured if we tried a TMB pc clan it would be like 2-3 of us
It’s two tabs right of the main map tab. You can call for and cancel from there and also see all available requests. Move the cursor over each call indicator on the map to see details ab them like if they’re in free roam or in mission. Depending on if you’ve unlocked the events in the area they’re in, you can tab back over left twice to main map and see what free roam activity they’re doing, ie - control point, execution. Also can see if they’re calling from a safe house and don’t need help at all
I have a PC clan with some friends. “Not So Clutch” is our name. If you’re interested, send a request and we’ll get you in. Edit: Forgot to mention that the clan leader is my friend’s younger bro and he’s a super try-hard and insufferable 90% of the time. But we’ll still take anyone in. Just want to give that heads up.
Welp looks like I'll just have to see if I can connect to the hospital's public WiFi since this game has no offline mode otherwise I'll see y'all hopefully by the end of the month.
You don't have to buy the first skill of each thing, fyi. You can choose whichever one you want, then unlock the others with shd tech. For example, my first unlock for chem launcher was the fire one.
Watched two rival factions battling for a territory control point. No clue what two they were but none of them were allies just enemies going at it. That’s awesome. Couldn’t help but pop off a couple sniper HSs from waaaaay downtown and none of them had any clue
My only complaint is that there’s too many god damn bad guys in the free roam. I’d like to be able to get to the missions without fighting an army along the way.
Game is so good. Also kept running into too many ? that I have to complete due to game OCD, and sometime they’re hard as shit solo. My biggest issue is I always join friends game so my own map/story line is always behind.
You absolutely can’t run and gun like in D1. You have to use cover or you get shredded; especially by elites. I had my fantasy baseball draft last night but plan to play a bunch this week in the evening. I’m only level 10 and have solo’d the whole way. I imagine the difficulty ramps up. Not sure how long it’ll be before I have to group for missions.
Buying this today or tomorrow. Loved D1. Wife hated it because I could play for hours straight. Couple of questions. When sniping, does the AI already figure where you're at like in D1? Also, I saw a few posts back that you mention Elite enemies aren't just bullet sponges anymore. Does this mean if we're hitting critical areas, you don't have to unload 6 clips to kill one? Can't wait.
I feel like snipers take longer to find you if you keep moving. I can kill most any yellow elite that’s not heavy armored in 2 clips though I’m still at a low level.
Whoa on the elites. That's a positive development. I played D1 on Friday night for a bit. I'm LVL 50 in Dark Zone and literally used 800 rounds of ammo to kill 2 elites and their crew. Almost died 3 times. I'm sure this game is difficult in many other ways.
