Discuss promotions, industry happenings and other things here. I'll kick it off... Any of you guys ever use Fairlay? They're an exchange, similar to Betfair or Matchbook. Whoever is market-making there basically just copies Pinnacle's lines on any events that Pinnacle has, and with pretty decent limits, so there is value in this alone since Pinnacle can't be accessed from the US. But the cooler thing about their site is you can create a market on any event or prop yourself and then act as a market maker, although you don't have to make the market. So say you have some niche interest like American rugby. I put up a line on the Major League Rugby final as a test and actually got action on it from a random. They even graded it without me having to send in the result. You could even put up props for internet arguments to have someone put their money where their mouth is or anything you want really. The downside of Fairlay is that it's a Bitcoin-only book, so your balance is exposed to changes in Bitcoin price as well. It also is a somewhat clunky site that is not organized like other sports betting websites and takes a little bit to get used to. But it's a good book to have in the arsenal and I really like being able to create markets.
Anyone else live in NJ? I’d like to find a good legal book but draft kings sportsbook has basically no live betting, find myself just using bovada
Ive read that Bet365 is coming to NJ eventually. That is who Bovada has copied basically in terms of live betting
TDCD Bet365 is by far the best Live betting there is. Their scoreboard for each game is ahead of every other website and I actually keep track of scores on their site
For sure. Maybe Fairlay can turn into a new US-facing major exchange, although the layout of the site is a huge drawback for bringing in customers. I also miss Bovada's old live betting platform where you could bet on things like whether the next play in football would be a run or pass, completion or incompletion, etc. It was only $100 limits but you can get decent volume in when you can find value in a substantial percentage of the plays. In more current industry news, Sportsbetting/BetOnline/Lowvig is likely having some type of issue with Bitcoin payouts at the moment, likely that they don't have enough Bitcoins and need to buy more. Usually they pay in 24 hours, but I put in a request on Sunday that was approved on Monday but was sitting there unpaid until today. I don't think it's particularly concerning (price of BTC dropping meant they didn't have enough BTC on hand to payout since accounts are denominated in fiat) but it's worth keeping an eye on. I've got another payout request in now so we will see how long it takes.
About 10 years ago when I was a lot dumber. I put alot of money at the time, (now I know the limits not sure it was that much) on Bookmaker Live saying the result in the drive would be "A Punt for Positive Yards". Needless to say it was 4th down and they were punting and it got blocked and I lost. I remember just staring BTW how do you do getting cash via BitCoin. Ive had very limited experience with it. I used to just Bookmaker or 5dimes directly to CoinBase and deposit in my bank account only a handful of times. I have heard they could ban your account and am nervous. Best Option I see is the BitPay Card. Go Sportsbook -> Block Chain -> Wallet -> Bit Pay Card.
Yeah that's fun. For Bitcoin payouts I just get them sent either to my Blockchain wallet or to my Ledger Nano S. If you plan to hold any crypto, the Ledger Nano S is definitely worth the investment and even just for sending BTC it has some nice features. Then from those wallets, if I want to cash out, I just send it over to Coinbase, sell it on Coinbase Pro (formerly GDAX) and send it to my bank account. I've done it dozens of times and never had a problem. I don't think I'd cash out BTC straight from a book to Coinbase, though.
It depends on what you're looking for. Rank the following in order of importance: Fast payouts Low juice Wide selection of props High limits Good bonus options Customer service Answer is likely to be Bookmaker or Lowvig, maybe even Nitrogen or Fairlay if you don't mind having your balance and bets in Bitcoin.
Don't use Mybookie.ag Those fuckers cancelled a couple of my bets because they screwed up on there end.
I've heard some shitty things about Mybookie.ag but I had a surprisingly good experience with them. The only thing they ever did that was annoying was cut my limits and have a weird rule about 50% of bets having to be on full game sides or totals (alternate lines counted) but even on that they notified me when I went below and allowed me to make an effort to fix it. Did they cancel the bets before or after the game had started/finished?
MyBookie cancelled our bets AFTER the event started. They did decide to payout but with odds that were worse than I originally had. So much bullshit.
Pretty much all books do this to varying degrees. I don't agree with the practice, but that's the reality. Bookmaker is one of the most respected books offshore and take a look at what they did to me: https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/bookmaker-eu-pulling-some-shady-shit.175273/ . I'd much rather have taken adjusted odds than get freerolled. Even Vegas books, if there is an egregious bad line, will generally ban you for life if you cash a ticket on a bad line (and will give you the option to not cash it and not be banned for life). I have no idea what fair odds were on Miss Universe, though, so it could very much be a book abusing a grey area situation, particularly since Mybookie has some reputation for shadiness.
Removing any recommendation related to Nitrogen. They've refused to grade a winning bet for 2 days now: https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/54782bcTHNUMVl1d0g5Tld6dThFa2ltMzJnZz09/
Betonline/Sportsbetting/Lowvig running a promotion right now where you can bet the Patriots to not get shut out in their season opener for $50. You can hit it once at each book so basically a free $150 but you have to lock the money up for 7 months.
Is there a consensus preferred site to use overall? I want to start betting again and I need something simple to use. I'd prefer something with an app, but I don't know enough.
Pretty much everyone has a mobile site these days, although I hate the 5 Dimes mobile site. How important are the following things to you: Props Low juice Bonuses High betting limits Fast payouts Customer service
Honestly, I don't know. I went with Bovada just to mess around a little bit. I like props and fast payouts but I'm just dipping my toe in the pool
I'm not a Bovada fan. Go with Bookmaker or Betonline for high limits, fast payouts and bonuses. Lowvig for decent limits, low juice. Heritage is good, but their mobile site sucks. Youwager also worth looking at, too. Let me know if you want a referral link for any of the above (except for Lowvig which doesn't do referrals).
yea hit me with a referral link for whichever one you like the best. I just need something easy to bet on basketball games and UFC fights rn. That's all I'm betting on atm obviously until football season starts.
Give Betonline a shot. They offer a good mix of props and have lines on any event you'd want and their payouts are fast. Edit: the link was bad originally. Give it another shot.
Can you not check your wagers on the mobile site? I can see it on my ipad but I can't on my phone. My phones says none while my ipad shows the accepted bet.
You can check on mobile. If anything maybe try logging out and then back in. But on mobile, go my account > reports > pending wagers and it should show up. If you bet on something that's more than 48 hours in advance, you need to select the tab "all" and not just "24 hours" which is the default.
Bovada disabled my account for some reason. I dont want to fuck with customer service so what should my next choice be? I'm just casually betting 20 bucks a game, I just want something easy. Not worried about limits or best lines. Leaning 5dimes just on rep but willing to look at others.
Bookmaker or BetOnline in that case IMO. 5 Dimes has a decent rep but their owner who made it what it was was murdered last year.
Cannot speak highly enough about Fairlay. They are awesome on payouts. They'll send you up to 5 BTC daily nearly instantly and they'll do larger ones but they insist on manually processing those. And you get Pinnacle lines copied there plus the ability to create your own markets on random events or props. My favorite site out there at the moment.
Signing up on bookmaker, you basically shouldn't do any bonuses right? On my bookie I did one (free 25 bucks when I deposited like 100) I bet on some golf and got up to 3-400 and wanted to cash out. They basically said I had to wager through 1000 bucks to get my money because I used the free 25. It could just be that mybookie is trash.
I can understand, I just felt like my bookies made it impossible for me to ever cash out which I guess is there intent.
Can't remember what Bookmaker's bonus stipulations are since they took mine away many moons ago, but they're one of the better ones out there for that type of thing. Skybook/Looselines is the worst though. You could easily spend years clearing their rollover if you aren't betting daily.
Unrelated: Betcoin has an awful platform but the amount of bets they offer on live betting is insane. You can live bet Brazilian U19 basketball games, table tennis and more. It's bonkers.
They do, although it's quite a bit more juice than you see at a shop like Pinny. I've found some pretty good spots there despite that. They actually even do that type of bet live for ATP Challenger and ITF men and women.
Got crushed on William Hill recently in Vegas, but man they post some soft lines. Hope we get this in Colorado soon. Offshore still a must for any serious bettor, of course.
PA sport books are live now and FoxBet has been decent for me. They partnered with Mt Airy casino and I believe they are with Pokerstars as well. Did pretty well on opening weekend and would be nice to build a bankroll for online poker again.
Is there anything worse than a buddy who refuses to sign up with a book themselves but asks you to put bets in for them every week. Bro you can sign up for an account just like I can.
Bovada just gave $50 and 25000 reward points bc of downtime the other day. Just go to your messages and claim in dashboard. If you haven't received it yet, don't worry. You will receive it later today
did you have to have logged into bovada around that timeframe or tried to have logged in to get the reward points?
From what I understand no per support everyone is getting it just takes time to credit every account.
