Early access last Monday at midnight. I think I played ab 25 hours before the official release Friday morning. Also prob a broken record but the side hustle stuff. Tuesday night I finished doing missions w friends ended with ~200k needed to get from 27 to 28. Did a couple encounters that took like 5min each - both completed settlement projects. And then hijacked an enemy supply convoy that was another maybe 10 minutes. Those 3 activities somehow got me the 200k needed + extra. More than a side mission or shd mission. The strongholds give you like 300-350k XP too. The District one got me from early level 28 to 30.
Yeah I basically do all of the side stuff until I'm a level or two above the main missions to make it easier
I remember when the melee enemies just had batons and not explosive suicide vests... times were simpler back in Downtowns East
So what of those are what I guess “category” of talents? I assumed I would be able to sub any talent from one type of gun/gear to another as long as it was AR>AR Gloves>Gloves etc but apparently there’s different categories of talents similar to gear mods this year being offensive/defensive/utility and not just generic “gear mods that go in gear mods lots” Where’s the goddamn handbook for endgame customization
Realistic? I just dumped 1.5 magazines into a guy wielding a stick and I'm the one who's dead. I miss wildlands
Lol a week in and I am only level 11 I get all stressed when I see all my buddies 30 but then think it’s a three year commitment and I have plenty of time
Got smoked pretty good last night. You guys weren't kidding about the flanking skills. The AI is pretty unbelievable. Was on a side mission and doing well. Then 6 more guys come out. 3 disappear while I'm trying to cap the grenadier (fucking hell, they are as accurate as Tom Brady facing a 3 man rush). Out of nowhere, I am getting lit up from behind. Loving this game so far, but gotta get better at avoiding the flanking.
It’s really hard in scenarios where you’re in open world and you can’t dictate the engagement locale. The hardest content for me as a solo player has been Bounties. Died once and almost died the other two times. I’m having a hard time maintaining currency for crafting. I don’t like selling stuff and like to break it down for materials but I’m basically resorting to selling all my greens and breaking down blues/purps.
jplaYa I broke down everything until I hit the cap, then started selling everything. If you're short on money, it really wouldnt hurt to just sell anything you aren't using until you feel comfortable with the money you have. The only material I've run out of so far is Titanium
Excellent to know. I’m hoping they expand the maximums on resource allocation soon. They eventually did with D1. It’s dumb when you can only craft so many things due to limitations of resources.
I have so much mats from breaking down weapons and gear, but don't seem to be able to use them to craft anything. I haven't really crafted any gear besides like once, so that could be why, but i don't think I have enough of the other materials required. Have crafted a few guns. I have resorted to just selling the stuff I don't need, or breaking it down anyway in hopes of getting other materials. Join them. It'll bring you closer to their level, and you'll get a shit ton of experience. Then when you go back to your game you'll be at your true level.
Hey, our clan leader left and joined another clan and we were forced to follow. We are in “High Society” if there are spots still avail. Sorry, Man. I think I added you on the friends list, so get at me.
Ill try and join tonight. Thanks for letting me know. It seems no one has been on every time I’ve logged on ha. That’s probably why. Hit 17 last night. About to head west of the WH now.
What the fuckkkkkk, just did the wave emote and it’s a damn Nazi salute! Side bar: Exiled Gaming clan is always looking for additional users.
Hit level 21 this morning and got my first piece of high end gear. One of the best early game feelings.
just uploaded my review for this game. please like and subscribe. ps TrustyPatches they were moving like the whole fucking time, which makes this even better
I have all this stuff i can sell like a stuffed animal, pen, solar calculator etc What do I do with it?
This game is so badass. The AI has me totally thinking about how I enter a building. Where I post up. When and where to deploy my turret, etc? D1 you often just had to stay put and keep them in front of you. Here, it’s not that easy. Took out a named boss by forcing him to come to me from one direction and one direction only. Deployed my turret and it took care of half of his life. Only needed one magazine after that. Game is much better than D1.
I regret beating that last stronghold. All my fast travel spots got debo’d so fast. The new enemies are fuckin hard. Kinda been playing with guys in lower levels trying to catch them up so we can roll in black tusk territory. Tac50 sniper is fucking sweet though. 425k headshot rn
Just bought the game? Any advice for someone who didn’t play the first one? Also shone gamer tag is: imnheat
Be patient. It’s a cover based shooter with somewhat wonky mechanics wrt cover/dodge roll so running and gunning can be awkward sometimes. Always try and run a repair skill in one slot until you feel comfortable. I’d advise you break down items you don’t use until you no longer receive mats for them and then sell items after that. Rinse and repeat. Also, watch the deer video above so you’re not shocked when things get weird
Hit like 23 tonight. Do you recommend doing every mission/side mission/supply station or whatever they’re called prior to doing the strongholds? I figured as part of endgame the black tusks start taking back over the city. I guess I wanted to make sure I don’t mess myself over.
High rof smg Chatterbox Safeguard Clutch Max crit chance High health Highish armor Berserk Do that and then you can run n gun
Pretty good advice. Another thing. It doesn't work in every situation, but has at Control Points and some side missions. I'll go in and shake the hornet's nest so to speak and then back out into an area where I can control where the bad guys are coming through. Some times they'll give chase you can take them out fairly easily. Other times, they won't. When they do, I immediately deploy either my drone hive and/or turret. Usually don't deploy both unless a boss is coming out with them.
The Outcasts with the chainsaws and battle axes who rush you like you’re shooting peas at them are the WORST.
