The hand wringing over a candidates supporters as a criticism of that individual candidate is some of the laziest and most incoherent arguments on this board. Pointing out who else supports someone as the only reason why you won't support them is just sheepish response formed by people who let others dictate their opinion for them. The 26% that would vote for Trump over Warren are obviously retarded but all that means is that Sanders appeals to people that would otherwise not be voting for democrats in the first place. If this was Amy Klobuchar instead people would be pointing out how she appeals to the moderate republicans with her tax credit bull shit. But when it's Bernie Sanders advocating for populist ideas and you can't attack any of his positions the next best thing is to harp on the worst of his supporters and act like that's any representation of him or the things he says. And then we get the classic brain dead Trump Sanders comparisons
I mean, the poll literally said 20ish percent would defect for Trump if Warren or Pete became the nominee. There is obviously something that pulls certain bernie bros over to DT
Do you have anything with substance to add or are you going to keep crying about people discussing 2020 again? Trump ran on rebuilding the infrastructure not cutting entitlements prexisting conditions etc.all populist ideas but he was obviously lying since he didn't try to get any accomplished. I'm not surprised that 20% are too dumb to see that. But the reasons we actually hate Trump(racism corruption etc) are not at all comparable to Bernie so its a lazy and idiotic argument.
Don't really understand how one can get upset at a poll that shows one candidate's supporters will fully support any democrat while Bernie has substantial defections. Bernie supporters have a track record of this and it is a real issue because it is more likely than not that Bernie isn't the nominee. The "why" doesn't really matter.
No one's upset at the poll. But what's the actual criticism here? Don't appeal to independents/republicans with progressive policies?
It's one thing to be ignorant but don't take pride in your ignorance https://thehill.com/hilltv/what-ame...blicans-say-the-support-medicare-for-all-poll https://static.theintercept.com/amp/free-college-tuition-republicans-bernie-sanders.html
Should probably make it clear to your supporters why they should have zero interest in Donald Trump continuing to be president.
Mitt sucks ass because he won't do anything but it'd be nice if this was the generic response from GOP
sorry I'm looking at the political landscape and not believing progressive republicans exist in any significant numbers. Keep on caping for unicorns though
progressive policies always poll well with Republicans, they're just too dumb to self-reflect about what that means
You just posted evidence that I'm completely wrong and ignorant on a topic but I'm going to continue to not believe it because I don't want to. But here's some rolling smileys though that totally help prove my point Again that's not a criticism. If the criticism is he should be talking about how dangerous Donald Trump is. He is doing that. The fact that people that would otherwise be voting for Trump are drawn to him is not a legit criticism. There is a substantial number of Obama-Trump voters as well.
I know that, that's been in polls for years now. I'm laughing at the notion that these people are voting for Bernie because of it.
I’m skeptical she can sustain competitive fundraising, overcome the DNA stuff, and avoid being cast as a preachy/naggy female professor type, but have to agree that she is carrying herself well and speaking clear and direct like a leader should. I also appreciate how she balances controls/regulation of corporations while embracing the reality of capitalism. Still don’t see her emerging as the nom, but she is very qualified.
