holy shit this is impressive, i'm not sure i could name 17 guys left in the draft. give me thornhill or greedy and i'm happy
honestly... aside from Irv Smit, that list is outstanding and I'd be happy with any of those dudes at our pick.
Dorsey said he tried to move up into the first for one of 3 players but the price was too high. Said he started trying to move up around the middle of the first.
Those would be my bet as well. Maybe Sweat? I'm glad we didn't give up a ton for any of those. Some really good players available in round 2...and I bet he tries to package some picks for another 2nd round pick.
There is a lot of talent available today. WR (I know we aren't going WR): Butler and Brown. Metcalf is a bust waiting to happen. OL: - Taylor apparently has multiple medical issues. No Thanks - Dalton and Ford are very attractive options DL: - Dremont Jones, Renell Wren CB: - Greedy, Layne, Ya-Sin, Love, Mullen, Murphy S: - Adderley, Thornhill, Garner-Johnson, Rapp
I feel like we will move up for somebody Dorsey loves. We tried yesterday and the price will be less today. I also think we may make multiple 2nd round picks. I can see him packaging picks to get up there. Again, I can't see us adding 8 rookies to this roster.
So many good players left, hoping they sit tight at 49 and take BPA there and then try to move up from 80 into the latter part of the 2nd round if there's someone around they really like.
I wouldn't mind seeing Greedy be the target. he may be the 1st player taken in the 2nd round tho. Does Arizona need a dynamic pass-catching RB and some 3rd round draft picks??
Spoiler Day 2 JaredKMueller (2070) 49 months User Tools 2 hours ago VIP There is a lot of belief within Berea that with the talent left on the board and all the groundwork laid last night in conversations that the Browns could end up moving up at least once, from #80, and maybe twice, from both 49 and 80. Dorsey and the team are balancing a desire to be aggressive to get guys they want with the thought that they could be patient and let the draft come to them based on how the 1st Round played out. Ending up with two 2nd Round picks seems very possible at this time.
Spoiler Lets Get To It Again.... ADKINSra (6942) 37 months Reply Quote ......as I mentioned last night on social media, Dorsey would like to add another 2nd and 3rd if the opportunity presents itself. The staff simply loves the remaining talent pool, but there is that excitement to move on a specific player, if the opportunity presents itself.
i started typing this exact same thing after your last post. I'd love that. 2 2nds, 2 thirds... don't give a fuck about 4-7. Total of 4 picks with this remaining pool = perfect in my book for our roster.
Looks like Denver may be trying to shop Chris Harris Jr... Thought on him? Could Browns make a play on him?
There was some buzz last night that Cleveland was talking with Denver. Seems like it all died though.
love him as a player, but the deal he is expecting as a 29 yr old (will be 30 at start of next season) is too much for my liking. just have the feeling he wants a massive payday. i'm not giving that to a 30 yr old whos best in the slot.
Adkins is insinuating that we have a deal in place with somebody. Won’t say who or what’s involved (picks, players).
Lane had info in the past, these days it’s all guessing and broad statements that can be fabricated into whatever he wants after the fact.
Obviously I'm biased, but I really really like Julian Love. I can see him being a CB that we really like.
Holy hell. This is awesome. Wanted him bad. Surprised they didn’t have to move up into early 2nd round for him. Best case scenario imo. Best cover corner in draft, just learn to tackle
someone tell me about this byu kid because i've literally never heard of him i loved the greedy pick. kinda wish we had traded up again to snag thornhill
Watched Takitaki's game against Wisconsin. I think we reached. He has some plays where he flashes but you can tell he's not used to playing linebacker. I don't anticipate him playing anything more than special teams this year.
Will be surprised by anything he provides. Dane Brugler had him as a 6th round player. I think Genard Avery sees increased playing time and Takitaki plays as a pass rusher/special teams.
I love at the end Freddie telling Greedy, "You're going to have to tackle a little bit now, you know that right?" Good stuff.
Wolf said he was easily the best (super number) player on Dorsey’s big board when the selection was made.
I cannot imagine having OBJ and Mack in the same locker room. Instagram posts will have more drama than a telenovela
