I don't understand how she even got to him but fuck it if I didn't scream and wake up my damn kids. Give her the iron throne
As awesome as that Arya killshot was, I’m kinda bummed that the NK ends that way without more than 30 seconds explaining his motives after he’s been building his army for 8 season and all he ends up doing south of the wall is sacking winterfell.
His generals sucked ass, our heroes sucked ass, the cinematography in a lot of scenes sucked ass, but the last five minutes saved it. Farewell house Mormont and Ghost ( wtf was he on the front line)
Look, the episode was amazing and they are doing a great job at wrapping up the show, but Arya doesn’t kill the NK Jon does
I’m not complaining. It was awesome. And the only pRoblems hate right is that fat fuck, but what purpose did all the backstory of the prince who was promised/light bringer and all that shit if Arya kills the NK?
Or to explain why the Golden Company is about to break a contract for the first time ever. I bet they reveal that Harry Strickland is actually Jon Connington.
I have to think if this fat fuck ever finishes the books the ending will be different. No way all the side build up of Jon and Dany through the books was just for them to be a side character of the great war while the Mrs. fat fucks favorite character actually end up the true hero. That felt way less ASOIAF ending and way more True detective. Still enjoyed it
Jon killing the NK was so telegraphed that it would’ve been difficult to pull it off, this was a nice little twist and just enjoy it because GRRM isn’t going to finish the books. So enjoy the only ending that you’re ever going to get.
I openly welcome this thread to shit on anyone and everyone who shits on that episode. if you weren't out of your chair fucking screaming when that kill happened, fuck out of this thread and this forum forever.
Episode was amazing But was the purpose on all the backstory ? Only mad at fatty but I’m honestly confused
I don't know dude, how did they fly beyond the wall and back in 2 days. how did Gendry do an ultra-marathon back to the wall in record times shutup you fucking nerd.
*pushes up glasses* *snort* "It's not realistic that arya could get to the night king." *snort* Just don't worry about it. She's a ninja.
Man fuckoff and just ignore my post. People can talk about the damn show without people feeling like you can't question anything. I only ask because before she ran out of the room with hound and Mel she mentioned the last color eye Mel mentioned to her was blue as if it was a code for more than she's supposed to kill the NK.
You think her mentioning blue eyes as code for more than just killing the biggest threat in the show at that point?
yes, that's what that meant. the entirety of that scene was explaining how this ends. nobody was ever going to 1v1 the NK. Jon stood literally zero chance, he's an above-average swordsman but he's not Jaime, he's not Dayne, he's not Selmy and he would have died. the other speculated endings were things like Bran warging into him and someone killing Bran or something but again, that's trickery just like this. it had to end this way.
No it didnt. The damn showrunners said they did this because it just didn't feel right to them to make it be Jon which is what everyone expected. There were ways they could have had the NK get killed that wouldn't have everyone asking how the fuck was she able to get that close to him when they had Bran surrounded and the only path to him was either through the undead or his generals. I mean for fucks sakes Jon and Dany both had him alone at one point.
right and Dany failed, because no duh he's immune to fire and Jon is dead fucking tired from a literal hour of battle (if you want to talk disbelief, how about the fact that literally everyone would be incapable of lifting a sword after this long of a battle) and again, he's not Ser Arthur fucking Dayne so how's he winning a 1v1? I absolutely fucking guarantee you however George has the NK dying, it's by trickery. there is a zero percent chance Jon meets him in the field and is simply the superior fighter. half the series is about subverting expectations, why would how the NK dies be any different?
Nah. This thread is literally made for spoilers. All of them. If you don't want to see them there is an entire section of the board for you.
I feel like I just watched the final episode of lost. Shocked at what a let down it was. What do we say to the god of satisfying story telling?
Arya has trained half her life for that moment. I loved the wind blowing by the white walker right before. She’s a ghost. It was gorgeous.
at someone of you complaining about want long more backstory with the Night King. Bran literally explained it last episode He wants an endless night an to erase this world and it’s memories. That’s it, not every villain needs some sort of complex motive. Sorry that you built up this extreme fantasy booking in your head and didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to be because you expected x, y, z to happen but a,b,c happened instead.
How could anyone remember that when they were too busy complaining about how they were sick of filler episodes when the show is almost over?
