Sometimes you just have to marvel how stupid people are and what having the internet at our fingertips has done to us. We literally eradicated the disease and a couple of YouTube videos and FB posts later, it is on its way to infecting thousands
Yeah, it’s been an enjoyable couple weeks basically not taking our infant son out at all because of these fucking morons.
This whole thing with new babies is such a bitch. Between this and how hard the flu hit this year we’ve been mostly hermits for a couple months.
Yup. It’s been a long couple of months. Definitely feel validated keeping him away from lots of contact, but it hasn’t made things any easier.
How old is your son? Many doctors in the area are now giving the vaccination at 6 months instead of a year at the parents request.
He has his 9 month appt this week - and we're pushing for the vaccination. They dropped it to 10 months a while back and they wouldn't do it. Seems like they probably will now.
I know for a fact they are giving it to any 6 month old whose parents request it at CHM in Detroit. I have heard of several other places doing it as well. I would hope your doc is willing to follow suit.
Everyone knows "religious exemptions" are a crock of shit anyway. Thankfully at least 1 state is realizing that now
A group calling itself Genesis II Church of Health and Healing plans to convene at a hotel resort in Washington state on Saturday to promote a “miracle cure” that claims to cure 95% of all diseases in the world by making adults and children, including infants, drink industrial bleach. The group is inviting members of the public through Facebook to attend what they call their “effective alternative healing” at the Icicle Village Resort in Leavenworth on Saturday morning. The organizer of the event, Tom Merry, has publicized the event on his personal Facebook page by telling people that learning how to consume the bleach “could save your life, or the life of a loved one sent home to die”. The “church” is asking attendants of the meeting to “donate” $450 each, or $800 per couple, in exchange for receiving membership to the organization as well as packages of the bleach, which they call “sacraments”. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ent-despite-fda-warnings-against-miracle-cure
Imagine how shit tier of a human being you have to be to fabricate a religion just to steal money from everyone involved.
How much pool water is this equivalent too? Asking for a friend bc maybe over time they’ve swallowed enough pool water to be healed and can skip the event.
VAERS is a fucking joke. And if you think any IRB would ever approve a vaccine vs saline treatment study, they are living on a different planet
Going to be on Local TV again tonight telling people to vaccinate their kids. I will accept likes as reimbursement since the drug companies haven’t sent me my monthly retainer fee yet.
Hell yeah, post the video to this thread if it's uploaded online (or not because we're all weird assholes who need to remain anonymous).
Given what I do, I’d like to keep my private life private, although someone who knows me IRL tracking down the fact I like to read terrible books, play Dota and hate trump is probably not the end of the world.
Hi, I had measles as a child. My parents took me on schedule to get vaccinated, but I had a fever due to what turned out to be a random virus. Doctor didn't want to give me the shot while I had a fever, so he re-scheduled. A week later they took me to the ER because my eyes were red and swollen and I had a fever. Idk if this is actually my earliest memory, but it's close. They put a chair way down a long ass hallway and I had to sit there alone (away from the other patients) until the doctors saw me. I also remember trying to climb out of the hospital bed and I busted my head open on a metal table leg-thingie and I had to get 15 stitches. For fuck's sake vaccinate your kids /coolstorybro
Northern Kentucky. Deeply held religious beliefs. Anti-vaccine (at least in this case). Gee, I wonder what his viewpoints are about some other topics. Hope the kid comes down with a nasty case of shingles later in life.
Again, I will reemphasize for the thread As a pro-life church attending Christian of a super conservative congregation who is also a health care professional and who has also read ever major denomination’s official or lack of official stance on vaccinations: there is no religious body in America that condemns vaccines.
A denomination's official position has little bearing on the actual positions of its constituents. The Catholic church officially condemns child molestation, but... The Mormon church no longer has an official position of blacks as a lesser race, but... Most (or all?) American Christian churches don't officially affirm circumcision, but...
