It's a long season and a lot of it left, but at this point the fantasy league is simply a two man race. Congrats fellow user REGGNECK on your excellent drafting abilities.
I bought a couple boxes early last year. Fantastic ball. Very hard to tell the difference between them and the ProV1x which is my preferred ball.
Questions for the thread. Please take your bias for me out of it @1 Played a little par 3 course yesterday. Holes ranged from 40-70 yards. 1. Does it count if you shoot under par 2. Does it count if you make a HIO I’ll hang up and listen
One of my worst nightmares is duffing/shanking/losing the first ball off the tee on a par 3, re-teeing and then getting my first HIO on the second ball. Would be a strange feeling for sure.
One of my good friends is an avid golfer, been playing 3+ times a week since he was like 10 years old (he's 35 now). He's damn good, low single handicapper but he has never had a hole in one, he did however have this exact scenario happen. He's not a big fan of it being brought up.
Going to Charleston this weekend Playing both Wild dunes courses Links and Harbor Side on saturday. Deciding what to play on Sunday. Ocean course is sold out (and walking only, f that in may) so maybe turtle point?
Played the Links course a couple years back and tied my best score ever at 80. Unfortunately I doubled my last hole on the way to that 80.
It was in pretty good shape when we played two Junes ago. Not too difficult, but fun. Didn't get a chance to play harbor course so can't really compare it.
Just played both at the end of March. Links is beautiful, just an awesome course. Harbor is more resort style, seems like they fit it in however they could. There are some greens that are almost comical they’re so small, but not a bad course by ay means. Just not as unique as Links.
Lived in Bluffton for a period and got to play a charity tournament there. Place is great. The entrance has the most unbelievable trees/moss of any course I’ve visited.
Playing Friday, haven’t swung a club since last August. Gonna get a range session in tomorrow. Gonna be uuugglllly
Im taking this year to play as many nice golf courses in the surround Metro Detroit area as I can over the next 6 months. So far top 5 rank. (Played 8 rounds total) My ranking criteria is difficulty, condition, scenery and layout. 1. Coyote Preserve 2. Northville Hills Golf Club 3. Eagles Crest ( Eastern Michigan's Home Course) 4. Tanglewood 5. College Fields Also, bought the premium GolfNow $200 year pass. Gets you a lot, but the big perks are a free round every month. No fees and about every 4th round I get an additional 10 dollar coupon.
I bought the g400 LST about 4 or 5 months ago. I've found that the new Ping drivers offer the best combination of forgiveness and length of the newer drivers I've hit. As always, no matter what you get, the right shaft for your swing is just as important as what club head you buy.
I actually have a g400 max. Got a new set of irons though and can get a new driver for nothing trading in my old stuff.
I went yesterday and got fitted. I swung all of the new drivers and the Ping G410 was by far the best.
Got fitted for the g410 and ended up with an even glow black 75 xflex. Felt exceptional heavy went back and am going to try the ping tour 65 for a week or two and go from there.
The G400/410 line has been incredible but the Ping stock shaft options leave a ton to be desired. The Tensei and Even Flow Black in the 410 line are a huge improvement but still a far cry from all the stock options TM and Callaway offer
I also ended up buying the G410 irons along with the G400 3W and 3H. Just went to the range and I’m in love with that hybrid. Just smashing it. Hit the driver and 3W well too, but not as consistent as the 3H. Gonna be a long 10 days waiting for my irons.
Also found a video of my swing from 2011. I’m afraid it’s much nicer looking than now, though I’m a hell of a lot better now
