Think we'll wildcard it out, win the first round and lose in a heartbreaking fashion. Defense improves, but offense doesn't get it moving when it counts
My buddy and I went to the last Eagles-Packers game at Lambeau. We saw half of it. His car died in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin when we were driving from Minneapolis after going to PSU-Minnesota. He sold the car for scrap metal and the tow truck driver was nice enough to drop us at the Wausau airport so we could rent a car. Maybe wasn’t actually the last. It was in 2013.
yes check out Rodgers' excitement about the new offense in his latest locker room interview on Packers.com that coupled with what could be a potentially badass defense and I think a division title is well within reach
Maybe it's blind optimism but with all the talent added on the defensive line & the interior oline I feel fucking incredible about this season.
Yes. It's not enough that Brown County has paid for Lambeau upgrades alone I guess. Miller Park was paid for by 5 counties
Of the 3 GOAT’s that went over the troll bridge, this one was last. The biggest and baddest of them all. The leader among the herd.
Bart Starr was my dad's childhood hero and the reason he became a fan of Packers. So good chance I would be cheering for a different team now if it wasn't for him. :(
LaFleur suffered a torn Achilles' tendon playing in a Knockout game on a Lambeau hoops court Wednesday night and will have surgery Sunday. I like a coach that takes one for the team to keep the Injury Gods at bay.
Going to the Bears-Packers game in December. I have no idea why but the downtown Hyatt going for $350/night was only 8k points a night. Going Friday-Monday. What else should we do? Restaurant and bar recs? As I’ve documented in here before my only previous trip to Lambeau was brief and memorable for all the wrong reasons.
I would go to the stadium area one of the days other than gameday, either for lunch or dinner to just walk around, go to the pro shop, see the atrium, and Titletown district. I really like Hinterland, and Krolls is a Green Bay institution. (Though Krolls East > Krolls West across from the stadium). Otherwise post again before you go with specifics of what you are looking for.
HOF we’ll do for sure. Otherwise we like to eat and drink. Breweries, good bars/restaurants, etc. Probably won’t venture too far from downtown and the stadium area unless there’s something we really need to see.
There are nicer restaurants I could recommend (Black and Tan or Republic Steakhouse) but they are probably nothing special compared to restaurants in a decent sized city. I'd rather recommend places that give a local flavor. Now if you want to hit up a classic Wisconsin Supper Club, most of them are dead and gone but there is one left that a bunch of old Packers and national media used to go to. The Union Hotel in De Pere. Now most of the other people there will be 75, but you'll get served a stiff drink and a relish tray with your meals
Left to right 4,2,5,3,1,6 Always confused about the method, I ranked them so the fifth one is third in my heart
Career Accolades: Super Bowl champion (XXXI) 4× Pro Bowl (1993, 1996–1998) 4× All-Pro (1993, 1996–1998) NFL 1990s All-Decade Team Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Absolutely criminal
Arkadin #Oakland Raiders Packers got a new beat guy at the Athletic that used to cover the Raiders - Matt Schneiderman. He any good?
