I'm wondering if they're still planning on doing like a "premium" version that will be able to do all of this via its own hardware and then a "standard" version that tries to do some of this via cloud computing as has been rumored. I could see an Xbox One X-type next gen console being $700-800+ at launch. I kinda expected the X to cost $600+ at its own launch based on what it was capable of. Tons of PC people have tried to build PC's that can do what the X does for how much it costs and they can't do it. They get close if they cut corners by using pirated software but they still get outperformed by the X in certain areas. I don't think there's any way that Scarlet's best version (if there are different versions) costs more than $1,000 and it's going to be able to do some pretty strong stuff if it's 4x as powerful as the X.
I’d be willing to bet it doesn’t clock in over $500. They subsidize their console costs in an effort to drive longer term revenue through subscriptions and licensing revenue.
Yeah, if they don't go with "premium" and "standard" models then $500 has definitely been the sweet spot since PS3 hurt itself a bit at launch with a $599 model. But that was over a decade ago now. I think we'll see two models at launch though as MS has shown they're perfectly fine with huge performance disparities in the same generation with the X being able to do some games at 4k/60 and the standard One not even being able to hit 1080p on all of its titles.
Thanks for this. I've always been big on the Gold deals and stacking them but haven't done one for a while so I was only paid through 2020. Bought another year just now on CDKeys ($55 so not an amazing deal), redeemed the code, then upgraded to Game Pass Ultimate so now I'm paid for Gold and Game Pass through August of 2021.
War Thunder is also free. It's basically World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes combined into one game
The hardware won’t matter if Xbox can’t get any exclusives. I’be been team Xbox from the beginning, but I might be switching when the PS5 comes out. They have all the exclusives worth a shit and they have The Show.
Quite a few guys from tmb bought PS4s solely for the show. I think thats a bit excessive, but they do seem to play it often. Lot of quality exclusives there.
I bought it first for Spider-Man, but the Show was lurking in my brain and is now what I play 80% of my vidya time.
Yes Do you own an elite controller? Scuf and some others make xbox shaped ps4 controllers with staggered sticks at the same price.
Yeah but it converts what you have prepaid. So when the prepay runs out it goes to the 14.99. For me that won't happen until 2021
Yeah, it's a little confusing but if you do it, like citrodong pointed out, it converts what you have prepaid of Gold (can have up to 3 years stacked) for just $1 then it says right on your account page that your next charge will be years away. Here's mine after adding a year of Gold and upgrading for $1...
Yeah. I figure I won't be able to use it until my little one gets a little older, so I need a good buffer of time
It's not a loophole it's a design. The best thing to do would be to add Live up to 3 years (If you don't already) then do the $1 Ultimate and it will convert all 3 years of Live to GP Ultimate. After the E3 deal ends it gets tricky. For every $15 worth of Live you add, it will convert to 3 months of Ultimate, so if you buy another year, you get 4 months of Ultimate. That goes until sometime in July, I guess until they can get Ultimate product cards in store. After that, it's $15 a month. Definitely add all of the Live you want before you convert it.
I must be getting close to being out of live then because when I tried it said it was $1 this month and I would be charged $14.99 7/30/19.
Yes, as long as you don't add the 1 month or 3 month Ultimate deal before the 29th, you can add more. Just make sure you add it all before you hit the transfer option.
Note: Purchase of Ultimate plan automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) to Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based on days remaining. Learn how this works at www.xbox.com/gamepass. Future code redemptions are also subject to a conversion ratio. Conversion ratio subject to change. All conversions to Ultimate are final: Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Ultimate membership back to a previous membership. Maximum 36 months of redeemed Ultimate per account at a time, including any converted time from Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass (for PC or console). This is the phrasing. I offer no analysis because I don't understand it, but I will be taking advantage of the deal once I find a good deal on XBL codes that doesn't sketch me out.
So Game Pass Ultimate is just Game Pass + XBL Gold? Even if its $14.99/mo, that still comes out to the same price I'm paying assuming you heathens don't find me a 1 year gold for like $49.99. Game Pass is still a fucking great deal IMO.
This is nostalgic for me, has anyone played it, and if so, did it lose the rights to use player's names as well? Also, it's on gamepass.
I've got some sort of ground loop feedback going through my mic when my controller is plugged into the USB port. Tried 2 different micro USB cables, 3 different controllers, and 2 different headsets. When my controller is plugged in, my mic is buzzing. When it's not, clear as a bell. Anybody have any experience with this or know how to fix it? The buzz isn't audible to me, just everyone else in the party.
Is it turtle beach? It happens with mine sometimes. If I unplug the mic and plug it back in it usually solves it at least for awhile
Cell phones too close can cause feedback as well. On a similar note, mine is great, but some days gives ridiculous feedback if the mic is touched or moved (as in the slightest movement, like nicely setting the controller down), so that's annoying. This also pretty much only happens if I'm home -- while at my GFs it's not nearly as bad.
Didn’t believe y’all but fuck the putting is hard. It definitely takes time to get down. I’m still pretty awful at it especially if I have to compensate for the ground being uneven.
I'm so used to putting in other games, and not having to actually worry about swing speed. But GC you have to adjust your line/slope as well as how far you draw back the putter.
To anyone who hopped on the Dead by Daylight train, double bloodpoints weekend starts sometime soon and goes through Tuesday. Rank reset happens on the 13th of every month so that happened yesterday. You don't reset all the way to 20 since they don't want new players getting destroyed by people who have been playing for years at this point. It's something like 1 pip for every rank up you had achieved during the month so if you were a 2 you would retain 18-19 pips which puts you at rank 10 now. Of course, right now DBD is having an issue on Xbox... So hopefully that's fixed at some point so people can actually earn those double bloodpoints and alleviate some of the grind to get perks and whatnot. And Ghostface is in the public test build and he was awful initially but they tweaked him a bit and now he's pretty damn good. He's supposed to be out on Tuesday and that's when some in-game anniversary event will begin and run through July 2nd. So as you you can see from the Tweet, they're having issues on Xbox with double bloodpoints. I kinda want to say... get used to it. It's kinda rare for them to have an event go off without a hitch. They're not a huge studio so they try to cram stuff in there and it breaks their game. So just kinda prepare yourselves for that.
have they improved the game much over the past half year? i bought it, liked it then got bored fairly quickly .
I mean, if you were just bored by the game itself and not frustrated by how it ran or whatever then probably nothing's changed that's going to interest you. If you have an Xbox One X the game runs a lot better now than it used to. I stopped playing it for about 5-6 months last October but am back on it again as my main game now. And they're still working on more optimization for console with the goal being 60fps across the board when they're done.
I played F13 a lot so this game ran like a champ compared that, it just didn't have as many variables as f13. Ya Probably not for me then.
