Biggest takeaway I had from Mbappe’s video was LBJ wearing the LFC cap at a Nike meeting. We Nike next season? If that actually led to Mbappe coming to LFC I’m not sure what I’d do.
Per Transfermarkt Salah is worth $171 mil, Mbappe $228 mil. I love Mo, but if someone told me LFC could do Salah plus $57 mil for Mbappe I’d do it in a heartbeat. Besides I’d do 4-2-3-1 with Mbappe in front of Mane Firmino Salah if we could somehow keep everyone.
Unless someone pays £150m+ I think United will keep him this year and sell him next summer. Pogba has no leverage with 3 years left on his contract. Which is why he's making statements to the press.
If United can get Neymar they will sell pogba. They’d be getting an even less consistent, more selfish player but I could see Woodward doing it. I can’t see anyone except Barca or United even wanting Neymar.
PSG chairman came out and said superstar bullshit is over and basically indirectly called Neymar out publicly today along with French media saying he’s available for the right price. Seemed coordinated and says to me that mbappe told them he’s cool staying if Neymar is out. Just thinking about the money and who would actually want him and Barca and United seemed the 2 most obvious. Madrid have spent a ton already and no way Pep wants a player as selfish as Neymar.
It’s also well documented that he is a nightmare to deal with at any level. I’m also 99% sure Barca won’t want him back. Coming off a year like RM just had, maybe, but they have no reason to reach at this point.
Exactly my thoughts. It’s why I see united as the most likely if he leaves. Woodward will think of the commercial side.
the british version of "a strong ass offer" “Celtic FC is content that it has made a magnificent offer and it is now up to the agent and player to decide if the player wants to join Celtic. If not, we move on.”
Maybe a good intermediate step for him career wise? Less pressure than one of the massive clubs and Atletico will sell him for a profit in 3 years.
Pretty sure Felix said he liked Atleti because he could play immediately and continue developing on the pitch, compared to Barca or City where he wouldn’t automatically be first choice. Seems like they may be the leaders for Bruno Fernandes now, too.
