Tough slog upcoming. Unless Porto can pull out a miracle and Spurs can withstand the probable onslaught, Liverpool and City back-to-back is so tough.
Should have gotten one or two in the first 10 mins. Aleñá looking smart out there. Just hard to break through the 10 men Alevés have in the box. Really want some Riqui Puig in the 2nd
Why even bring Messi on as a sub at 60'. Game is now in hand. Let him rest. Let the squad gain confidence without him
None of you probably care about shoes as much as me, but these are now available in the us: https://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pro..._BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#?pbid=373472370?nikemt=true
Let's beat these motherfuckers and their absolute garbage fans. They trashed the city today in typical Liverpool fashion https://v.redd.it/nvya9ejuegv21
Thought Valverde got it wrong with the Vidal start. Shit I was wrong. MOTM if not for the sublime Messi.
Yup. I haven't liked Mandalorian of the Vidal starts. He's so good coming on in the 2nd half with his immense energy, just a huge boost when the other team is worn down a bit. Today, it worked really well though.
Great article on Vidal http://www.espn.com/soccer/spanish-...os-hes-the-pure-fire-barcelona-and-chile-need
Fucking Dembele again. Season likely done. Have to watch Coutinho muck it up for all our important games the rest of the season.
Deservedly going home. Didn’t get a chance to watch until late. Talk about torture at 10pm on a Tuesday. Did the same shit last year against Roma. Fuck me in the ass.
So after giving it some time to marinate, a few thoughts moving forward. I'm not sure how we weren't prepared to face extreme pressure and the high press. Liverpool had no other choice to get back into the game, and we've shown to be vulnerable to the high press in recent years. Obviously not one player on the field turned in a particularly inspiring performance but this had to be the worst game of Jordi's career. We didn't move the ball quick enough through the midfield and anytime our wingers have to track back well beyond the halfway line we're going to have difficulty scoring. Moving forward, Vidal has to be dispatched as a "closer" of sorts, I just don't think he has the quality on the ball going forward to be a starter/playing 60+ minutes. That needs to be Arthur's spot in big games moving forward. I also think that Semedo has done enough to be the first choice RB. I love Sergi, and he's a great swiss army knife to have for spot starts etc. This offseason I feel like Rakitic is going to be moved, which I'm not a fan of that idea personally. If a good enough offer comes for Coutinho then Dembele slots in there pretty easily. Really not a fan of selling Malcom either. We need to find a backup/replacement for Suarez. A healthy Umtiti-De Ligt combo as the future of our CBs would be excellent, as Pique isn't getting any younger, and Lenglet was exposed. We also need a backup younger LB.
Really have no idea why Arthur didn’t start yesterday. Knew the press was coming and he could hold the ball against it. He came and immediately made some nice touches to hold possession. I would have played him with a four man midfield, benching Countinho. Lenglet has been great this year. Umtiti may be the odd man out there honestly. De Jong is going to come in and start over Busquets. He’s been awful all season
I agree that Lenglet has been really good, but Umtiti was a rock before injuries this season and I think it would be a mistake to get rid of him. We play enough games to get 4 CBs time honestly. Pique can start resting more, etc.
Gonna have to sell people though to fund some purchases this summer. Need to get younger, faster very quick. So so slow yesterday.
#Michigan Wolverines if any of you are able to get me the presale code for tickets to the Barcelona/Napoli game I will be forever grateful.
