can’t believe i’m going to type this, but ever since we failed to qualify for the wc, taylor twellman has been the voice of reason for us soccer punditry and that speaks volumes to the current state of affairs for soccer in this country imo
I only watched the first half, so obviously we capitalized in the 2nd half. I'm think not qualifying in 2022 is a very real possibility for this program.
Look back at 2-3 years before the World Cup in previous cycles and who is actually playing then vs the leadup to the WC and the actual WC makes me feel like this is crazy to say this far out
I’m far from pleased with where things are at the moment but 1 match without our starting RB, best CB, possibly best player (Adams) hardly makes me jump to “we may not qualify for 2022”
Three years ago we didn't know much about Adams and Weston. I'm just hoping some other young guys develop between now and 2022 so we don't field most of those bums from last night. Realistically some will be in the lineup but hopefully not Bradley and Zardes.
Was in the supporters section and I've been to a WCQ in KC, the differences in the section was massive. The capos seemed lost and were clueless on starting chants and all that. The stadium was beautiful, but the brew hall they have there is overrated. 99 taps or something like that, but only 5 choices of beer. Didn't expect 99 different beers, but was hoping for more than the 5 choices I could get anywhere in the stadium.
