Nah. It's happened to me a ton trying to buy international flights when they hit a price drop. It'll show like 2ish tickets left repeatedly across everywhere kayak sources from but when you get to any of those sites and try and confirm a booking it won't allow it
Ahh. Apparently it's a new card with a global entry credit, an extra 3k annual bonus points, and some free upgrades in flights.
Nope. Application can be exactly the same and you can refer yourself from CIP1 Guessing your credit limit with chase to income ratio is near 50%? No. Most likely hasnt gone through their system yet. Follow this flowchart:
Lower all of your older cards limits via phone or secure message (i set all mine to 3k). If they are business cards you can cancel them after a year which wipes out the credit line completely for you.
Thanks for the help. For some reason that image won’t load up on my end, but I don’t think it matters now. I got a letter from chase in my acct this morning saying they didn’t approve my request. Either: - insufficient business credit info on file -business too new -insufficient business revenue -new chase business card recently opened Then they listed some business reporting agency that has my business credit report. For reference, I did everything the same as on my first CIP that got auto-approved. I’m at 4/24, but my first CIP is only a little over a year old. On to the next I guess
May be more of a travel thread topic but have a question on booking award flights. Trying to book a Turkish airline flight but not looking like I can use United miles for it even though they're both Star Alliance. Any thoughts on how I can transfer UR points to Turkish Airlines to book with miles? Or are some just blacked out for award travel?
It didn't come up as an option when I searched on United's site and I can't transfer UR directly to Turkish Air. United's first then Turkish.
I’ve got a stay next week at Arizona Grand Resort and Spa in Phoenix. Best I can tell it’s an independent hotel with no affiliation?
Not as much as the WiFi and some upgrades. I’ll get to A list in a couple more months but want some of the perks now. I don’t need companion pass (lol sad) so the timing of the points don’t mean as much as the other perks.
Lol I have all the points I really need on SWA but they wouldn’t give me A list back after I couldn’t travel much last year. I even wrote them a sob story and got the Heisman.
Fiancée says it’s Classic Hotels so basically. Just a bunch of random hotels. She works in hospitality around here so I’d trust her here. It’s also not in the best area fwiw. It’s across the street from a shopping mall. It’s “Phoenix” in name only.
Norwegian bid was successful. Will report back but I’m guessing business class transatlantic for $500 will result in a positive review
We just flew MIA to London on their 787 Dreamliner in what they call business which is really a premium economy seat. I liken it to a first class seat on an old US airways product. Seat reclines a good bit and there is a foot rest that comes out but not close to lay flat. 2/3/2 layout in premium economy. Free beverages the whole flight and decent food. Certainly better than coach. No WiFi on the majority of their planes fyi.
only caveat i'd create is the little more leg room class has sub groups between true premium economy (domestic first class tier seats) and the Comfort+ style literally the same seats as cattle but 2 inches more pitch
But better benefits are coming! I don't think their trip cancellation / return / car rental benefits were that good - esp. when compared to something like CSR. The Price protection / return protection will be sorely missed.
Their announcement of this can probably just be copy/pasted directly into the corporate speak thread. I’m sure they are really just doing it to improve value for consumers
Totally cool with it. Strip the benefits but keep giving away AA points. That's providing value to the smart consumers
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions that would prevent me from downgrading a Sapphire Preferred into an Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card?
Result: very positive Slept for five hours out of 6.5. Great recline and roomy width. Makes a huge difference getting turned around on a European redeye. Food was about what you expect, beverage service was a bit lacking (no hard liquor included; only came around asking for beer and wine orders sparingly). 10/10 considering the price
I haven't been able to get a AA Biz mailer in a while. Anyone on here with a sureshot method for getting them?
