By a lot of accounts, Bielik has been the best player at the tourney so far and Luka Jovic has been dreadful. He absolutely deserves a chance at this point.

I completely agree with the arseblog guys that we need to take chances on these younger guys before we are priced out. No idea what to make of the Carrasco situation, his club hates him right now and that could turn a bargain deal into them overpricing him out of spite. He seems a great fit for Emery’s system based on his time with Atleti.
Tierney is the type of signing that makes a ton of sense at around 20m, so feels a little too good to be true.
If they’re going to take Jenkinson as rumored I might change my tone about Tierney. CB and winger are just way more important to me right now.
Tank definitely provides width he just offers nothing in defense. He’d be one of the few assets we could sell for a decent profit, though. I understand he’s got great potential but it’s not like Tierney has proven himself in any competition worth a fuck and that’s a lot of money to spend considering our budget.

I’m alright with selling Torreira. There’s just no way he holds up in the Prem long term. I appreciate the hell out of him when healthy, it’s just not a realistic build and game for a man that size.

Torreria is only 23, Kante is 29, has time to learn that. Also wouldn’t be the first player that needed time to adjust. Honestly I’m more worried about him off the field than on it, hector needs to show him the town
