You know, i generally hate platformers except ratchet and clank and the original spyro trilogy....but i think i might like mario odyssey
When I first started dating my fiance, I got her hooked on Odyssey, and I played Destiny lol. She beat it, I still have not.
Anyone have dead cells? I heard it didnt run too well at release but im curious if that has changed. Really want to pick it up and would prefer on switch if its running ok now.
It ran fine when I played docked a while back. I just didn’t play much because it kicked my ass and I wasn’t at a point then where I wanted to dive into a difficult game.
Are all the characters unlocked or do you have to pay to have them all like in MUA2? I didn’t do the preorder because I’m waiting for my Best Buy reward points to hit first so I get a discount
There’s 3 DLC packs in a $20 season pass. Likely 4 characters each and they come with their own story content. First one is Marvel Knights on September 30: Blade, Punisher, Moon Knight, and Morbius. Then there will be X-Men and Fantastic Four packs. Colossus and Cyclops are free downloads on August 30. I believe there’s 34 playable characters on the roster that unlock throughout the story and then 2 more secret characters to find. But they all play pretty uniquely from what I’ve experienced so far. Some real pleasant surprises in there.
There are a few devs that have cracked the code on native voice chat. Idk why Nintendo doesn’t make that the goal for every game. Plus their matchmaking sucks dick and there’s actually no way to communicate with someone on your friends list unless you personally know them and can reach them some other way.
Of course fortnite is the first game to use native voice chat and hopefully other devs will adopt it https://gamingbolt.com/nintendo-switch-gets-console-level-voice-chat-thanks-to-vivox
Finally picked up Dragon Quest Builders 2. I can’t put it down. It’s basically Minecraft style but a full RPG which is right up my alley
Hello yes stating the obvious Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece. Great design on materials/upgrade grind doesn’t feel tedious but fun. Even the Linkin Log deforestation contract for Tarrytown was fun and not overkill. Shrine/Side quests are fun but not crazy time consuming. Easy to hop on and play 2-3 when you’ve got 30-45min to spare when other rpgs I play it’s hard to turn them on unless I’m going to dive in for 2+ hours. Gameplay outside of horse navigation is flawless Happy to hear the sequel is already in the works
You’ll come to realize that Nintendo cares about fuck all besides game development which, luckily for them, they’re as good or better than anyone at it.
Of all Nintendo’s mind numbingly awful decisions, the worst is the lack of virtual console on Switch.
All we can hope for is that they continue to build upon the NES online stuff and eventually expand to SNES, etc.
If its not something that will be tied to my account allowing me to download these games on futute nintendo consoles i almost dont even care if they get added.
turn based tactical? something tactical for sure. maybe just tactics? banner saga, ff tactics, xcom, disgaea, fire emblem
We can only play with Cap, Spidey, Miles, and Gwen. After the kid goes to sleep I have to level those 4 up so he quits dying. I did have to laugh at his 5 year old lisp trying to cuss out “King Penn” when he kept losing to him.
It’s definitely challenging. Rolling away seems to be the best strategy after getting in a few hits on the bosses. I just learned last night after doing infinity trials that L+R does an extreme attack that you can stack with the rest of the team. I’ve been playing the game for about a week and missed out on making things a little bit easier Spoiler I’m giddy as fuck about being able to play as Thanos at some point
I put 500 hours into fire emblem awakening. Cant afford to get three houses until i finish up a couple of games ive been working on recently.
i have been watching cohhcarnage play it though. it seems like a better overall game than awakening in a lot of ways, but the mechanic that gave awakening so much replay value (the child mechanic) isn't there.
explain this game and mechanics please. i've only played the mobile fire emblem game. is it similar in the sense of being turn based and picking like a sword guy, axe guy, shield guy, etc.?
Havent played the mobile game but i imagine its somewhat similar. You have your team. Theres a grid. You move them around the grid strategically to defeat enemies, similar to disgaea/ff tactics/banner saga/xcom. Theres a ton of different classes that your dudes can be and they can use a number of different weapons. Theres essentially tanks, melee dps, range dps, heals, and hybrid classes. Each specific character in the game has their own stats, growth, and unique abilities that can be combined with abilities from the various classes. Three houses specifically is essentially hogwarts. You pick one of the houses to align with and start the game with the characters in that house, but you can recruit characters from other houses, and eventually teachers/etc, to join your party. There's a persona like relationship system and time management system that play into recruiting new characters for your team. Also it has fishing. And the classic difficulty has permadeath for members of your party.
