Wynkoop Brewery is right across the street and has good food/beer. Thirsty Lion is a gastropub right there that's decent and Hopdoddy has really good burgers and is more casual
Nice. I've been meaning to check it out. Had a buddy in town a couple weeks ago and we hit Safta and Le Roux in the same weekend. Safta is awesome obviously but Le Roux is right up there with it. Maybe the best meal I've had in Denver.
You may want to look at Commerce City, too. If you're going to head to the mountains a lot, I'd rather take I-76 across than I-70 (huge construction project). It's nothing exciting neighborhood-wise, but getting to Buckley would be easy and Aurora is boring neighborhood-wise, too. Brighton would also be easy, and it has a very good brewpub, improving restaurants and new neighborhoods with new shopping areas in a part of town that was overlooked until recently. On a budget, might as well look at an easy commute, when it's harder to move around town. If you care about schools, I don't know the relative choices between those areas from that perspective.
I went here for lunch today based on your rec. Went right as it opened and talked to the owner a bit. He’s from Ft. Worth Got the Brisket and Jalapeño Bacon mac n cheese. Incredible stuff
My folks were in town this week and took them to AJ's. I was pretty stoned the first time, everything was really good again but the Truffle Mac is probably the best Mac n cheese I've ever had
I live in Aurora. It’s nice if you’re south of alameda. I meant to tell you. I lived in San Angelo as a kid.
Guess I hung out in the Highlands last night Pretty cool area if you ask me, jumped to a bunch of different bars.
Moved there a few weeks ago from the Baker area. We really enjoy it so far. I like Ale House off Zuni
Meant to say something earlier in the week but had a shit week at work being busy and fighting a summer cold. I’m in town for the weekend, just got done drinking and eating at Euclid Hall heading to Union Lodge No 1. Going to the baseball game tomorrow what other bars/restaurants downtown are must do? Tarantula looked fun but super crowded
Bumping from last year, how was the Warwick. Anyone know about The Source Hotel? Looking for something cool in a fun area.
Good area? Would like to find something walkable to Momentum or The Spot. Can’t seem to figure anything decent out.
My cousin stayed at the Source Hotel and loved it. You've got some really solid dining options right there. Safta is outstanding and Acorn is excellent too. The only problem is you're a little cut off from the rest of RINO. Short cab ride or a decent walk to the heart of RINO but you might want to check out the Ramble if you want to be more in the thick of things.
Thanks, booked The Source. Stayed at Ramble already. Didn’t realize there was a Movement RINO right there. If anyone is a climber and wants to meet up let me know!
Anyone interested in a 3-day Telluride Blues & Brews pass, camping pass, and/or Saturday Late Night Shows pass in September? I bought when they all went on sale, but having some other trips taking priority in the weeks after. Plus it would be a tough time to get the time off for work. Would love to go since it's a great time (went in 2016) but I think this has to be the sacrificial lamb to make other plans work. Just looking to sell for face value. Will sell individually if needed. 3-day pass = $250 4-day camping pass = $60 Saturday Late Night Shows pass = $35 all prices include the service fees but not delivery fee of the tickets
GABF tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. I'm gonna be out of town this year but it's a great event for those who like beer and haven't been.
Hi, me again. What are the utilities like out there and how much is my asshole going to get stretched for Internet?
I’m currently renting in an apartment building in the Englewood area and pay between $60-$70 a month for utilities. Depends on the quality of internet, but I pay $80 monthly for the 1 gig service.
Lol Abasin a bunch of fucking sell outs. Act all proud to break away from Vail Resorts and sell people on going independent and push season pass sales and then announce today they are going on Ikon. Honestly, the place has gone down hill since I’ve lived here. Crowds became unbearable due to being on Epic and their lifts are probably the slowest in Summit County. Think I went twice last season. Now they go and swap out Epic crowds for Ikon crowds. Yes, the Ikon addition is only 5/7 days depending on the pass but that’ll still jack up most weekends. A lot of people are pissed that they bought Abasin season passes thinking they would be free of crowds and now I bet it’s going to be a lot of the same during peak weekends in the winter. Fuck them and get a real fucking snow stake with numbers on it, Al
https://denver.eater.com/2019/8/16/...rger-location-in-works-near-park-meadows-mall In the biggest burger-related news to hit the Denver area since at least the arrival of Shake Shack, a Denver area location of Southern California’s beloved In-N-Out Burger chain appears to be in the works. Denver’s Fox 31 News reported Friday morning that the City of Lone Tree has posted to its website a Site Improvement Plan document presenting details about a future In-N-Out Burger planned for a parcel on the northwest side of the mall. The site plan documents call for the new burger restaurant to be constructed at 9171 E. Westview Road, which is located along County Line Road to the northwest of the mall. The location is currently the site of a Suds Factory Car Wash and Auto Detailing Center.
FINALLY made it here after the Air Force dicked around for a month. Here's the view from my hotel. I think it'll be ok here.
Actually a little south in Indian Peaks Wilderness. Brainard Lake Rec Area. That’s Lake Isabelle. One of my favorite areas close to town. Heading down to Lake City tomorrow morning though for some San Juan mountain lovin
That stretch of 25 is a fucking disaster. A lot of wild drivers too every time I venture down that way. And I’m an aggressive driver and it makes me uncomfortable.
Headed to ol Denver again for a bachelor party next weekend. Thursday: gonna chill and explore around town. Friday: going to great American Beer fest. Saturday: Need to find a place to watch the Auburn game and going to a concert at the Ogden that evening I am excite
I'm a brewer at Angry James in Silverthorne which is 15 minutes away from Breck. Pop in and I'll buy you a beer.
7 day trip, 1 day of work (yesterday). Mostly been hiking and drinking. I like all good beer. I might take you up on it if everything works out today. We're going to be in Frisco and Dillon.
What would be some good bars to watch some college football at? Gotta find a place to watch the Auburn-UF game
