If you get tacos you have to eat them in. Carry out gets soggy quick

Truck was stolen last night, praying they don’t recover it. What is the time frame for recovery before the insurance company cashed me out? What are the statistics on recovery probability? And any other input is appreciated as this is new territory for me. wes tegg please advise.

    Couple of things:

    1) Ins companies will investigate the theft and rule out your involvement. They will run your credit to see if you have financial motive and will request your service history to se if there was a mechanical motive (also to get an accurate odometer reading)

    2) they will collect all keys to the vehicle you may still have

    3) they will likely interview neighbors to confirm the truck has been seen recently and what kind of condition it was in prior to the theft

Driving right now and will update if anything else pops to my mind (I was an SIU investigator for Progressive for 6 years)

Typically 20-30 days as long as they rule your involvement in a timely manner

A lot depends on your carrier. If you have Travelers, Cincinnati, or the like, you’ll have a check by this time next week.

Forest Park, we have off the street parking in a rear ally. Edit; on the good side of clairmont by the golf course.

Is Kelley Blue Book a fair indicator of the dollar amount I can expect if they don't recover or it's totaled? I read through our policy and nothing jumped out at me as potential reason they could void the claim, but I'm always nervous about that kind of thing.

Got the ole' Cincinnati Shuffle, bundled with the house, curious how it will impact my premiums moving forward.

What kind of truck? As the driver of a car no one wants to steal, I'm curious what gets stolen these days.

You’ll be fine. They’ll give you a fair price. Your premium will go up some because you’re higher risk now, but it won’t be too bad.

Hilarious, I drive/drove a 2006 F150 Lariat super crew cab, 4wd all the bells and whistles. It's been a great truck, 200K miles and nothing beyond routine maintenance; spark plugs, brakes, etc.. I'm not certain but I may have left the truck unlocked with a spare key inside. :yousoricky:

Oof. Mine is 2005 FX4 SuperCrew. I just replaced the transmission for the second time and it only has 126K miles on it though. Ripe for a good stealing!

Someone stole my neighbor's Honda Accord a few months ago. I don't know who their carrier was but they were told the police department had two weeks to find the vehicle before they would pay their claim. The car was literally found on the 13th day over by Legion Field. They got it back and it wreaked of cigarettes. The women driving it told the investigators that some dude sold it to her with cash. I guess they target less expensive cars because they know they can flip them easier in the hood? Not sure but my neighbors were obviously pissed when it came back.

This was in "Crestline Heights" by the way.

How is Hickory Tavern still open? The service is usually pretty poor and the food is incredibly mediocre on its very best day.

Location. I’m sure the concierges at Grand Bohemian are on the payroll. Im friends with the guy that owns it. I rarely visit and I think it’s over priced.

Edit; the times I have been I thought the food was good and I really like the layout, and decor. good tv to sf ratio and sight lines.

It’s awesome. Everything is good, but I’d lean savory over sweet. Also order the tomato gravy.

Definitely going savory. Was leaning the chicken biscuit with sausage gravy but I'll look into tomato.

I generally go big bad breakfast with sunny side up eggs, andouille sausage, biscuits, and tomato gravy. The bloodies are excellent if you’re so inclined.

I've been in Ttown for 20+ years and probably ate food from TC twice. Also of note..... they opened one down the street over 10 years ago and is the closest restaurant to my house.

Fair enough, even if I didn’t like the food I would probably still hit up the drive through every now and then just for a drink/ice. It’s basically a snow cone.

Has anyone been to the new Greenwise in Mountain Brook yet? Curious to hear some reviews. I've heard they don't have a lot of the basic generic stuff like Coke products, etc.

Was up there last weekend. Went to Mile End, was super fast service. Not 5 minutes between order and service.

Also went to District brewing for the first time. Cool little space, beer was alright, nothing crazy good.

Checked out Brat Brot too, really enjoyed the atmosphere.
