I don't think rangefinders would make that big of a difference except for cases like this where they're way off line. Their yardage books are so detailed and they chart everything during practice rounds that settling on a number isn't normally an issue. This shit he's doing on the green is terrible though. The Masters had the gall to give a 14 year old a stroke penalty a while back and the R&A did it to Hideki when he was younger, these organizations need to actually step up and enforce stroke penalties. Would be easy to have an official with a stopwatch even just on the greens for starters. With these green reading books most guys use they know exactly what is going to happen already
I used to think the Bryson hate was mostly just "old man yells at cloud" by golf purists. A while back I talked to a guy I went to high school with (Super nice guy, who I had rarely if ever heard say a bad thing about anyone) who played college golf at Mizzou, and played some rounds with and against Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Dechambeau when they were playing college golf as well. He said that Spieth and Thomas were both really good dudes who liked to party quite a bit. He said Dechambeau was without a doubt one of the biggest douchebags he had ever met in his life.
Patrick the heel Reed needs to win this today, haven't had a victory yet this year with my 6 guys in the league. Also, playing another stroke play tourney this afternoon at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti. It is a public course but the course for Eastern Michigan University. Easily one of the top 10 courses I have ever played if not top 5. Tons of verity, water all over the place and great elevation change throughout the course. Played a practice round on Wednesday and shot an 88 with 3 triples. I'll need a much better round today, but looking forward to it. Conditions should be perfect.
Brooks appears to be really rattled by Bryson. 3 under through 4 and missed the other bird put by inches.
Brandel said it was the most self destructive thing he’d ever seen when Brooks lost weight for SI body issue.
Enjoyed him talking shit to the crowd for the noise on 18 as he was finishing up. He's going to fight someone when the Ryder Cup goes to Bethpage
I wish Myrtle Beach could host a tournament on the tour, especially one of these late season/playoff events. Unfortunately, with the industry, it really isn't possible.
India was a friend of mine in college. Knowing a 2-3 shot swing could be the difference between a tour card and q school has had my ass puckered for hours. No thanks to actually having to play through that.
Do you know Andy from The Fried Egg too then? He talks about Vince pretty frequently and says they're good friends
Nope, I think their connection is both being from/based in Chicago. I haven't seen Vince for a couple years but he's a good time.
Just saw my buddy shot 65-60 in the club championship back home. New course record and new 36hole record. Left putt for 59 hanging on the lip
Need some help with my fantasy golf. Last week of the season for us. Currently in third place by about $60k. Need to pick four golfers from the following list (rest of the field is available, didn't want to post it all though):
Got mad about someone not saying something to his face and expresses his displeasure by not saying something to the guy's face?
Reed wants on that Presidents Cup team. I could see him backing this week up with another strong finish
