I had it for dinner tonight and it was delicious. Milo’s is probably .2 or so higher. Milo’s 9.9 Popeyes 9.7 CFA 9.1
It’s a shitty place that puts gravy on a burger and calls it sauce. It’s the epitome of shitty Alabama cuisine.
I feel rather lucky because the Popeyes down the street from my house is always a pleasant experience. The restaurant is clean and never severely crowded and the employees even though they are really urban are really nice and attentive. We had a long conversation about mayo when I went because of the spicy mayo and they gave me a container full of spicy mayo just to try out and a bunch of other sauces to use on my sandwich instead of mayo (I went with the sweet heat)
Yeah the trash tea people get in Walmart. Also PDQ uses better pickles than Popeye's or Chick Fil-A. Grillo's are God tier.
The pdq takes in this thread are scalding hot, it’s a superior version of Zaxby’s, it’s fine, and if there’s no Popeyes or Bojangles, I will eat it, but I’m just as likely to pass the fuck by it as I am to stop.
I went to PDQ once and the only memory I have of it was the annoying clown yelling in a microphone for people orders. So I will take it as a sign I wasn't impressed with the food.
https://www.adweek.com/agencies/an-...eyes-will-now-launch-the-chains-new-sandwich/ So a restaurant out here is just flat out re-selling and serving the popeyes chicken sandwich. lol
No she is literally going to popeyes to buy the sandwich then selling it at a markup at her restaurant.
I am going to buy up all of the local Popeyes chicken sandwiches and set up an umbrella stand around the corner to sell them at a 100% mark-up.
I am intrigued by this sandwich, but it is going to have to wait for my next road trip. The locations in Birmingham all seem to be in pretty shitty areas.
I went to the closest Popeyes in Friday and of course it's in a gas station/truck stop. Jacksonville people should know where it's at. There were 11 people in line and 0.5 people working the register. Now, hindsight being 2020 I should not have waited in line when the menu didn't clearly have the chicken sandwich listed. Waited in line and of course they don't have it. I asked the manager and he said we're not in the schedule to recover until September. However, due to the hype, they should be receiving the shipment on Monday (today). So yeah, gonna try it today. I may not be a fan because I judge spicy chicken agaisnt Nashville hot chicken. I never liked Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. The spicy biscuit was good though.
I don’t cheat off my diet much and when I do it’s usually not fast food. The few times a year I do eat fast food I usually regret it immediately after or the next day. Popeyes chicken sandwich gave me no regrets. Truly an new fast food icon.
210 is a mile from my house. It's actually 2.4 miles because I've actually ran from my house to that gas station.
no popeyes in asheville in the winston area and planned my entire day yesterday around getting one for dinner. they don’t have it at that location yet :( the cashier took pity on me and gave me an entire box full of fries.and an extra tendie
If there’s one thing Arkansans know about (other than fucking their sisters), it’s fattening, fried foods.
rescheduled an appointment in effort to be out driving during lunch today do they also hate zaxby's, popeyes, etc? virtually impossible to like fried chicken and not like pdq. do you have time to go try the big 3 (pop's, cfa, pdq) all today? they're about options, so nuggets, strips, sandwiches, bowls, salads, lots of sauces, etc etc. It's not that you choose it over cfa, but just a great supplement. https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/pdq-shits-all-over-cfa.119708/ big fan of the honey butter
You vastly overrate PDQ imo. I get that Tebow is involved so Gator fans have to love it, but damn. I'll take Zaxby's over it any day. Their sriracha sauce is really good though. They have less than 50 locations and 30 of those are in Florida. lol at PDW being part of the Big 3. LOCATIONS BY STATE Florida 30 Georgia 1 Illinois 1 North Carolina 5 New Jersey 2 Oklahoma 1 South Carolina 1 Texas 3 Utah 1
didn't watch, just wanted to contribute to the tweets. the posts your quoting didnt really rate pdq, maybe youre referring to another thread. I actually said pdq is a nice supplement to cfa. And Wu , or maybe someone else, mentioned having all 3 near him which is why I said to go to all 3. With that being said, Zaxby's is nothing special at all and tbqh if you think Zaxby's > pdq then we have different opinions on quality. And keep in mind, I love zaxby's, especially with the sauce, but PDQ is without a doubt a better overall product than zaxby's. I'm reserving judgement on popeyes so far. You still haven't even been to Angie's.
it does appear they have an obsession with honey, as i just checked out the sauces. marking off a few points for that.
Imagine thinking that 1) Zaxby’s is anything but complete garbage, bottom of the barrel chicken and 2) That being regionalized as a restaurant means it’s not good. I guess Cookout and In-n-Out aren’t any good either, according to dbl.
