Popeye’s used to serve breakfast when I was in HS (NOLA metro area). Much better than Hardee’s, CFA, any fast food challenger. On another note, currently waiting on my 6 spicy sandwiches at a location in Columbus OH. Review to follow
Solid, and clearly the best item at Popeyes, but those of you saying the sandwich is better than CFA need to find Jesus. The fries may push the overall meal over the top, though.
My wife swears Foosackly's is the best chicken on the planet. I was severely disappointed when I tried it last year. Not bad, just not near as good as I expected.
It was way better 10 years ago when there were like 3 locations. Now they give you criminally small tenders.
Call me old fashioned, I just think there should be a difference between a chicken sandwich and a spicy chicken sandwich
The spice level barely registered, and I’m certainly not the first ITT to comment that a superior product would use the spicy chicken breading instead of relying solely on the sauce, which gets lost between the substantial bun and non-spicy breading.
arrdub and anyone else who’s trying to get the sandwich at the ATL airport — the shitty ass D gate Popeyes does not have the sandwich. I am disappoint
Zaxbys is hands down the worst chicken on the market. They used to be great but sometime like 5 or so years ago their food quality fell of a cliff. Too much money for shit food
Guys, I did a definitive back to back taste test and even though it's a sauce, Popeye's is in fact spicier than CFA. Anyone who says otherwise is saying so based in biased memories, not seeking the truth. Fake. News.
devine I can honestly say I've never had the coleslaw or red beans and rice from Popeyes. Usually a dirty rice guy when I'm getting my 2 piece mixed. I did once have green beans from popeyes that were fire, but it was a limited engagement side.
I just had a regular sandwich. The chicken was bigger and crispier. The pickles were better. Is it so much better it’s worth waiting an extra 20 minutes at Popeyes as opposed to chic fil a? No. Hell no.
This is objectively incorrect. Maybe they just didn’t put enough sauce on mine, WHICH IS A DESIGN FLAW.
devine I get it every time, regular slaw and regular mashed. I like to spoon some slaw and then some mashed tatoes with some of the Louisiana hot sauce. Of course spicy chicken as well. I'd say it's good, my issue with popeyes and I think I saw someone else say it is their restaurants are never consistent. Sometimes you'll go and it just won't be up to their standards.
It's better than chik fil a but not a blowout. I do wish theyd do spicy breading. Ordering two of them was a mistake though, I'm very very full.
Should I stop at KFC to get the cheetos chicken sandwich as well or do you guys not care enough? 5 likes and I stop there Too
friend of mine just tried to get it at the Winter Park location in Orlando. said they were sold out and manager told him that had already sold 600 today.
Just finished eating the spicy chicken sandwich. Delicious. Crunchy. Much better than every chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten at CFA. Also, as a lifelong resident of Louisiana I have a long history with popeyes. Generally speaking it is common knowledge that customer service at popeyes is dogshit. And shame on you for not inspecting the bag before pulling away from the drive-thru and then getting home and realizing that the order is wrong. But today the service was courteous and fast. After finishing my meal the lady behind the counter even said “thank you, sweetie “ as I walked out which was totally unexpected.
A little too much mayo on that first bite which made my face look like I just got done blowing marcus after he saved up a weeks worth of jizz
