If Trump had served these at the White House, I'm pretty sure nobody would be questioning his decision
I'm trying to figure out how high the social media manager for Checker's/Rally's is..spelling out Sandwich in chickens.
The BK Tendercrisp was pretty damn good ~10 years ago. Fuck that elongated mechanically separated chicken BS.
Kinda feeling bad for CFA at this point. All of the inferior places are ganging up and riding with Popeyes. Seeing Bojangles dunk on CFA is like a Vandy fan celebrating an Ole Miss win over Alabama. That just ain't right.
I know it’s gross and weird and why the fuck is a chicken patty that long, but that awful BK chicken sandwich is a guilty pleasure of mine. Haven’t had one in forever, but I seem to crave them when I’m nursing a hangover.
They do, a regular and a spicy. It's 80% bread though. There's hardly any chicken in there. Flavor is ok but quality blows.
spicy tindercrisp in HS was good back when cheesy gordita crunches were novel and not always on the menu the good ole days
Or the McRib, which I loved for a while, but don’t care if I ever have again. Pretty sure the McRib started as a promo sandwich for The Flintstones movie. Also, Super Size fries started as Dinosize fries during Jurassic Park. Also, the MDP was the greatest McDonald’s sandwich ever made: None of this has to do with the Popeye’s sandwich, but I don’t care, guys. Fuck you.
back home in a town that doesnt have popeyes. theyre currently building one down the street but no idea when it will be done this is a disaster
I will be attempting to get one of these sandwiches for lunch today, will be back to post an update later.
Had one spicy and one regular yesterday. Confirmed that my location is definitely still struggling to understand how to make food but there were still 30+ people in line for it. Will definitely get it again - but will have to probably ask for another bun and more adamantly oversee the sauce situation. Basically only the center two bites on each sandwich had any condiment action at all. But those 4 bites were fantastic.
Popeyes definitely does not have the infrastructure and managerial strength to withstand 20 people lining up at a drivethru at 1130 AM
Got here at 11 to avoid the lunch rush based off what I was told. I waited over 30 minutes for just a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich is legit af and lived up to the hype. Delicious as it was I won’t to come back on the reg unless I have time to kill. I wasn't even mad about the wait though. I was too impressed with how little fucks were given by the staff. People were pissed as hell and they just kept going at their slow ass speed not giving af.
Hell I'm just glad they haven't walked out. They signed up for a job handling 30 sales a day and now they are doing 300. Their workload increased 10x over the last week and they are making the same minimum wage. I'd give zero fucks too, honestly.
"You'e making 8 dollars and hour an already working way harder than me but DO IT FASTER! Show how much you care to serve me!"
yeah, they don’t give a shit which makes all this even more amusing. Not to mention all the new customers are people that heard about it via mainly twitter, so they aren’t getting familiar faces anyway.
I chuckle at the thought of CFA regulars walking into Popeyes and expecting a similar experience. It's like going from Publix to Walmart to catch a good sale.
I believe in this sandwich more than I've believed in anything the past few decades...but got dam I'm not waiting in line for 30 minutes. Please respect my decision while also having pity on my soul. no questions.
I was thinking this 30 seconds before seeing this post. Am curious if they up their wages to try and attract a more customer focused workforce
The franchise owners have a good amount of autonomy once Popeye's signs off on the initial agreement. They have protections in there to make sure someone isn't doing anything detrimental to the brand with stupid manager pay (nepotism concerns mainly), etc. But if a franchise owner wants to pay their staff $15 an hour they don't need a mandate from Popeye's to do so as long as the numbers don't start tanking after a couple quarters.
Wendy's has two new sandwiches. A bacon jalapeno chicken sandwich and a spicy bbq chicken sandwich. I had the spicy bbq chicken sandwich and it was very very good
