Arsecast mentioned Guens attitude being similar to Cesc and he did have a touch of the Stoke game going yesterday
Don’t know but the fact that Emery has taken this long seems to add significance to it. Giving it to Xhaka is not gonna do him any favors
not sure if I'd go as far as saying meaningless, but my point was that if Emery names Xhaka captain is yet another example of the faith he has in him, and makes it less likely his most recent quotes were simply "coach-speak".
I am with you. Obviously the Brits care deeply about this, which I have zero qualm with. Just saying it’s low hanging fruit for Emery. I don’t understand why he is delaying this as it just invites more criticism. The team is the team until January.
This is true, but lacking leadership has been one of our issues for years and certainly has preceded Emery. That being said, naming Xhaka captain is idiotic.
Since I bought my first kit and put his name on it before even seeing him play for Arsenal, I sure hope he doesn’t suck.
What a finish. The kid has a knack of being in the right place at the right time - made it look so effortless. Nice swipe from Chambers as well
Took a deflection but solid game from him, that was fun. I have nothing to bitch about other than Xhaka likely starting at OT.
Probably too early for Bellerin/Holding, but I would be so tempted to play Tierney on Monday. Give Chambers the RB spot until Hector is ready, then slide him inside
