Drove 15-20 minutes to go to Popeyes and didn’t get it. There were probably 40 cars in the drive thru wrapped around into a strip center parking lot, and at least 50 white people inside. No thank you.
On the way home from visiting gfs family. Stop at a random ass gas station and notice there is a Popeyes Taco Bell Pizza Hut combo restaurant. Strangely nobody in line or even inside. My heart is racing as I ask if they have the sandwich. “Yes sir we sure do” walk out with 2 spicys with no wait.
Sandwich is very good, better than CFA? I say yes. Shake Shack’s Chicken Shack is much more similar. This is a different experience than what you get at cfa.
Just got back. Drive thru line was into the street. Decided to go in and it took 23 minutes to get out of there. Not bad.
Driving back home to Atlanta and had to take a piss. Saw a sign for a Popeye's so I said fuck it let's see how this goes. The location was in a gas station. They don't have a drive thru at this location. Walked in to a line of 3 people. Ordered and got my food in less than 10 minutes. Very damn good sandwich.
someone posted a link a few weeks ago, didn't look like most states had a bunch from what i remember. colorado had like 10. maybe it wasnt a full map.
How much is the chicken sandwich where you At? $3.99 here. That picture above shows $4.59 at the gas station one.
The regular is good but the spicy mayo puts it over the top. Can't ever see myself ordering the regular again given the choice.
This is risky. Many folks who said this last time ended up missing out. The odds that Popeyes fucks this up again and has to put another halt on the sandwich are...not insignificant. It’s kinda their thing.
$3.99 I think it's common for gas station/truck stop locations to be a little higher on fast food. I assume its bc rent is higher bc the gas station brings in foot traffic for them.
Got some for dinner today. It's better than I remembered. Waited 30 minutes in drive thru, but worth it. Got me away from a sick/crying baby for a little bit.
