It’s not Mike White’s fault we can’t make wide open shots right now. We had a ton of wide open 3s today. Scottie has hit the side of the backboard two games in a row. We are running good stuff. Mike White is better than you give him credit for. The Michigan 2 Guard stuff from Beilein is hard to defend and giving us open looks. Got plenty of inside out 3s from post touches too. Those should be makes a good percentage of the time. White teaches point guard to post pick and roll well too and we got that a good amount today on those drag screens when the refs let Blackshear play. Remember we used to get a ton of that with Chiozza after White arrived. Florida got better looks overall than UConn today. They are going to be fine in the long run. Mann is a way better shooter than he has shown. He was very much like a Trey Young or Steph Curry in high school as a shooter, just would pull from anywhere and accurately. I had to watch a ton of his film in high school because they were in our region. He has a big learning curve based on what he had to run in high school versus now though. He’s going to make shots eventually. For Scottie it will be more of a process, he does not repeat his form very well yet but he will I would guess. Locke and Nembhard showed signs today of coming out of their slumps. I have no idea why Keyonte didn’t shoot that three on the last play, another inside out look. I think figuring out how fast to play is the big issue for us, half our guys are better at a fast pace but Nembhard is not in my opinion.
Can only imagine how this Kentucky game would’ve played out if they had called that blatant over-the-back foul. Utah Valley had all the momentum.

He’s trying to figure it out. He starts really slow, almost like he’s disinterested. It’s weird. Then when he’s tired of us losing he will flip a switch. We’re too young. Crean having to make due with freshman. Wish Claxton had come back and been on this team
