Just had the takeoff menu order. Delicious. Just watched my g/f have a Popeyes Apple pie and I think it pleased her more than I ever have. Oh well
Even though the last sandwich I had was not fresh at all, I went back today. No line & it was fresh and delicious af. They were out of bags tho and my drink tasted weird
Haven’t had a sandwich in a few weeks because the last two I’ve had have both been fucked up. One was made with tenders instead of the patty and no pickle. Then the other one they also forgot the pickle and it was not close to fresh.
Wife wanted chicken the other night and the KFC is more convenient so I stopped there on the way home. I regretted it. That place is ass.
KFC’s quality control is absolute trash. At their best, I’d put them above Bojangles and just a tick below Popeyes. At their worst, their soggy, water-logged, original recipe isn’t fit for dog food. I only go there once every 2-3 years, but I always make sure to order extra crispy, because on the not unlikely chance you end up at a shitty one, they don’t seem to fuck up the extra crispy as bad as the original.
After getting the sandwiches a few times since relaunch, I'm definitely back to just getting spicy fried chicken from Popeyes. It's better to me. Sandwich is good, but not enough to get it over my chicken.
Wife wanted a McDonald's spicy chicken sandwich today because of social media She ate like 10% of it, said is sucked
I finally tried the Popeyes sandwich last week and was underwhelmed. I liked the bun and pickles, but the chicken was undercooked, very greasy and it had way too much mayo on it.
just had the classic flavor. i guess i should get the spicy version in the future because it just lacked any flavor. chick fil a was better. i had kfc colonel chicken sandwich nashville hot flavored and liked it better. popeyes pickles were good and im not a pickle guy, bread and chicken quality overall were good but it just didnt taste seasoned much at all... lacked any oomf. hopefully the spicy wins me over.
I've never had the original/non-spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes. Not sure why I'd ever order it over the spicy. Just to keep you all in the loop because I know you care; I'm up to 4 spicy ckn popeye's sandwiches in my life now; 3 have been very good and 1 was subpar (two not-fresh tenders instead of a fresh filet)
“We should have them at the end of the month.” Has turned into “we don’t have any sort of estimate when the equipment will be here.” JFC, guys.
Had my second spicy one, quite disappointed. Bun was kinda stale, hardly any spicy mayo, and soggy breading. First was great so I am assuming I just hit an off day but it sucked nevertheless.
Popeyes just opened near my house. Had one Sunday and it was fucking insanely good. Gf got the regular and it was basically just a ton of breading on a small ass piece of chicken.
Just got one. Still good but the bun is kind of limp and soggy. Prob was sitting under a heat lamp for awhile
I can't imagine how bad KFC is in Hawaii. But to opt for original recipe instead of the extra crispy is just asking for a letdown.
Went yesterday. Still no sandwiches here to overrun them, yet they somehow managed to only have sweet tea and Mello Yello to drink.
Look at this hippie wanting a cup of rain at a combination truck stop/Popeyes. I just had my first Spicy at this very place and I'm sold. Chicken was giant and juicy and crunchy and flavorful, the heat was enough to make you sweat, and the bun could stand on its own. It really is an impressively made item that makes you feel like you're getting ripped off eating most everything else considered fast food.
Ate a Popeye's in the Raleigh airport yesterday. Not only was popeyes open, they had the chicken sandwich. They were out of fries and mashed potatoes and half of the drinks didn't work.
Apparently dudes flight got bumped so delta gave him a 50 dollar voucher and he only had ten minutes to spend it. So he hit Popeyes. Unclear as to whether or not a spicy chicken was in the bag
