Reading is not required to coal mine. 99% is remembering to pull the spark plug wire before removing stuck rock from the teeth.
Youd be surprised what some random trades are good at mathematically/computationally, I worked with some railroaders one time and those dumbasses knew their complex geometry like the back of their hand. Ask those guys what the square root of 169 is though and theyll answer: nice
Is coal mining a trade? Seems more like awful manual labor that's just filling Buckets or working a backhoe under ground
I assume theres either a coal mining union or an operators union that they are a part of. We have a coal mine up here, we are famous for opening the last two (and only planned) coal mines in the country.
I worked with an older coal miner that moved to Ohio. He made it sound like a shit load of manual labor. Said that you’d have to spend 12 hours on your side, eating, pissing... Told me his last day, the day he quit, they had a mine cave in and they were forced to work OT to dig their buddy out who had been killed when it collapsed. Edit: that’s been close to 30 years ago that he worked in the mines though, technology may have improved some of the manual labor.
only posting because of story title “ A British barrister was famous for battling Brexit. Then he beat a fox to death, while wearing a kimono.”
You have a fair point, but it’s also a big mental step from being a human calculator to creating a calculator
The downside of those unexpected corporate tax cuts Trump handed out. All those poor little fortune 500 companies didn't know what to do.
If you read the comments that person did this to mock people who think this type of thing would actually work.
he posted some meme with a quote that Q people apparently post a lot, but he didn't have a clue it was associated with Q. His mentions turned into an absolute shit show for a few hours afterwards.
He posted something but didn't realize it was Q. He said he liked the quote, but Twitter sucks and everyone is going crazy.
Oh cool now all we need is for a couple Americans to die and we got ourseives an ol' fashioned Republican BeNGhAzI!
Just want to make sure I follow Lindsey’s logic here. Iranian backed militia kills an American contractor. America responds with a missile strike against that militia. The Iranian militia then coordinates an attack on the American embassy in Baghdad. Trump responds by making an empty threat/boast on Twitter and begs Iraq to help, but doesn’t actually mobilize any American troops to rescue American citizens. Lindsay Graham then not only believes all of this is strong and courageous, but reiterated that America isn’t going to do anything and instead wants Iraq to step up and do America’s work for it. And this is supposed to be what toughness is all about?
There was a big flaming Q as the background for the meme he posted. He obviously didn’t know what it meant, but posting it could result in no other outcome.
