So I got the wool runners and have started to notice a few wrinkles starting to form. I keep the inserts in them when I’m not wearing, but is this just something that happens as part of that style?

Also, for being wool, these breathe extremely well and keep the feet warm.

I'm very early into pinball and only have 3 machines so far but none of them are particularly exciting and all need some amount of work. There's a handful of guys in the area that have home arcades and host tournaments and whatnot so I'd like to get to that level but I'm more than a few years away. Still have to build out a space and never mind the cost of the machines themselves. Hope fully have a respectable home arcade in 3 years

Eventually plan to break into stihl's professional stuff and pick up some work felling/bucking trees maybe selling some firewood, getting a sawmill setup, but for now this is enough for my own firewood needs

I'm tempted, we are getting 5 to 6 hour spurt from 8 to 1 or 2. Then he just keeps waking up every few hours. Tempted to try for a month to see how it goes. We also have a friends about to have a baby in 4 months so could split the cost there

i'll say this, it worked so well for us my wife's anxiety shifted to "how are we going to get him to sleep when he outgrows this thing?!"

I just said we will deal with it then, but at least we are winning right now.

I can't say enough about them. However, I did see a Wirecutter article recently that talked about some cheaper options and another that was just at CES. That might be worth looking at if you haven't bought already.

My wife does this legwork, but I believe there is a facebook group that helped us through the transition. It went from an arm out in the sleep sack, to an arm out without motion, to some kind of special sleep sack in the crib. He made it through pretty well. I'd just recommend getting a good noisemaker to compensate for losing the snoo. We actually ran it beside his crib for a while to keep one constant.

DEFINITELY get a good sound machine. We love ours so much that when the boys have all gone off to their rooms, we now have a 3rd one in our room so each bedroom has one at night. Helps so much with sleeping

Does that have a speaker? I’ve found I like the noise quality more from the units that have a fan inside, but the flexibility of a speaker is nice. I also use an Echo a lot to play white noise (and piano lullabies) for my kid. Spotify and Amazon Music have a ton of options.

Just got mine last night, and it wasn't a success (slept like 4 hours total) but I've read there is an acclimation period. I'm going to try it out for a month before either deciding to get another one or returning this one (I'm doing the rental).

Need some help. I’m about to go on a trip in February, and I need some comfortable shoes that I can walk and stand around a lot in that are also passable with a blazer to dine at restaurants that require jackets. I’m going to search this thread later, but I figured I’d go ahead and put this up. Thought about all birds because everyone in here likes them, but I didn’t see any colorways that I thought would work. I’m currently considering four shoes (not really thrilled with the looks of any of them), but certainly open to suggestions. I’d like to keep it under $300.

I have really bad feet and highly recommend the AE road warrior line. I have had both LunarGrand / ZeroGrand and the AE is more comfortable for me.

I’m for people wearing what they want but those shoes look ridiculous. Unless you’re a car salesman you’re probably not wearing shoes like that and staying on your feet all day so normal soled shoes will be plenty comfortable

Check out shoe bank. It’s mostly old stock from outlet stores across the country. Takes a little more effort than buying directly from AE website but you can save a good bit of $.

they were fifty five bucks. I wear them to walk down to the lobby to grab the mail. Figured why not. Very comfy and not worn in public. I wouldn’t wear those or a zero grand in public. Nothing looks as goofy or childish as a zg. Would get a normal loafer or dress shoe if I needed dressier if I was going that route. Can’t go wrong with Gucci loafers

I think they go on sale for 800-900, which would cost you $5/night for the first 6 months of life. Believe me when I say you will spend more for much dumber shit than something that reliability gets you more sleep.
