Outside of his family losing him I'm thinking about not being able to watch kobe/shaq grow old together, burying their beef deeper into a place where they could have a hardy laugh about how dumb it all was
There's a lot to say about the guy and his legacy and what it may be, but I feel awful for his family and tens or hundreds of millions he inspired. A true legend and probably the highest profile athlete of his generation.
My cousin dying when we were 19 kind of always made me numb to the concept of dying. I never knew I would be by it but Kobe dying has me shook. His pursuit of greatness in all aspects of life has always be so inspiring and listening to people tell stories about no one outworking him was some of my favorite stories to hear.
Life is way too short. Enjoy it. Tell your loved ones how you feel every day. My son’s all time favorite player in any sport.
here's my thinking: they did say 5 were killed but are they counting the pilot? he has 4 daughters and the latest was born in June. I can't imagine Kobe taking care of his infant daughter by himself and taking her on the helicopter as well. I'm going to believe the ABC reporter misspoke until I see it's actually confirmed, I just don't think it makes sense.
Yeah ABC (I assume same clip showed on ESPN) is the only outlet I’ve seen mention his daughters, so hopefully an error.
So many military operations end up with almost the passing mention of a helicopter being intentionally blown up because it wasn’t in a state to safely get out of there. It seems like any sort of malfunction or error is catastrophic with those things.
the problem is if he did misspeak, lots of twitter buzz now says the daughters were on board but I think it's sourcing that person so now no one knows the truth
News and rumors always fly around at this time. Just saw on twitter Rick Fox could have been in the crash as well.
