That story was refuted by the film's director and a script supervisor on set who witnessed the event. Here's a pic of the crew member who was allegedly "beat up" as you say by Depp on the night of the final scene with Depp. Maybe it's just a Hollywood production circling the wagons around its star, but your supposition that we're pretending Depp is anything seems based upon a highly questionable allegation by this crew member and Heard who obviously doesn't appear to be particularly trustworthy. He probably is a drunk and in need of a reattachment to reality per the RS article, but he's always had a great reputation for how he treated people until these recent allegations which seem dubious at best. On that late-night downtown Los Angeles shoot on the film about the LAPD investigation into the still unsolved 1997 murder of the Notorious B.I.G, Depp says he stepped in to stop a “confrontation” between the “belligerent” veteran location manager and an elderly African American woman on set. In the redacted deposition, Depp also insists there was nothing even resembling violence, and later he and Brooks calmly had a drink and took a photo together (see above) as a peace pipe of sorts. “Absolutely not — no contact whatsoever,” Depp told lawyers from both sides in a sitdown at the Sunset Tower Hotel last month (read the deposition here). “There are dozens and dozens — I mean there are 40, 50, 60, 70 people around, and we’re on the street.” Film director Brad Furman has jumped to the defence of the star of his upcoming film, Johnny Depp, after reports began circulating of an aggressive outburst from the actor on set. Brad has issued a statement insisting that claims from Page Six Johnny “attacked” a location manager, even attempting to throw a punch, are totally false. He insisted (via Metro): “Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists. “He always treats the crew and people around him with the utmost respect. Movies can be stressful, and non-events often become exaggerated.” The director concluded: “We all love stories — there isn’t one here.” Crew members who were there insist it never escalated beyond a verbal confrontation and no punches were ever thrown. “They had a little moment, there weren’t punches, there wasn’t anything, just were in each others’ face for a second,” script supervisor Emma Danoff, who was sitting next to Depp when the alleged altercation began:. “We shot for maybe another hour-and-a-half after that, we went inside. We finished and the locations guy came up to Johnny and they hugged and it was all cute and that was it.” Three other crew members support her recollection. Danoff says they were shooting outside and Brooks berated an African-American homeless woman with “racial and derogatory slurs” because she was in his way. Depp was sitting next to her about 25 feet away when it happened. “He immediately stood up from our shared seat on the edge of a planter bench and went over to Brooks to stand up for the woman,” Danoff says. “Mr. Depp said to Mr. Brooks, ‘You can’t talk to her like that. You think she is something less than you? Who do you think you are? How dare you?’” Danoff says there were no punches thrown and no offer of $100,000 for Brooks to punch Depp — and she says she has 40 time-stamped photos that prove it.
there's multiple other instances of him having legal troubles too that resulted in settlements and lawsuits dating back 30 years maybe it's a long string of shakedowns, but it probably isn't i'm genuinely befuddled by this rabid wagon circling on this one when it seems like both parties are at fault to various degrees. the ability to discredit Heard but not Depp also doesn't make sense. if you want to deep dive all his issues over the years like his PR team have at it though.
It’s not a small feat to over drunk post me on a Saturday night. Congrats my friend, you accomplished something that was once thought impossible.
they settled the initial suit(where she donated all the funds to charity) and the joint statement they gave, to me, implied they both were admitting fault for actions they did in the scope of a tumultuous relationship
Forgot Heard was accused of being abusive by one of her exs and almost cut Depp's finger off with a broken liquor bottle.
This took a lot of hard work and dedication, apologies to all parties involved. Regardless thank you for acknowledging my accomplishments IHHH
what are you even talking about, the internet absolutely fucking slaughtered Depp when this all came out. were you doing due diligence and pointing out the wagon circling on that one? now not only are there pictures of Depp's alleged abuse, they literally have Heard on tape promising she won't stop being physical (like she was before), are we doing the Chappelle show R. Kelly thing where you need video of Heard assaulting Depp as well as photographic, notarized evidence of Heard's ID and a DNA test just to prove she's the one doing it? it seems incredibly obvious that Heard was the abuser in this relationship, trying to make it a joint issue seems disingenuous at best and ignorant at worst. the aforementioned "amicable" lawsuit agreement could just as easily been done by Depp to try and move on in his life. the fact that they now want to question past boyfriends and girlfriends of Heard's over similar theories of abuse continues to just pile up evidence over how big of a piece of shit she is as a human being.
new audio where she admits to faking her injuries and saying nobody will believe Depp imagine stumping for this horrid cunt, I'd really reevaluate my life if I was defending someone like that just because she's a woman.
Johnny Depp - definitely not an abuser. Also, I hope their malpractice insurance is up to date: https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...threats-to-ex-wife-in-texts-london-high-court
I have to say, it's still weird to me that Lyrtch had multiple "he's no angel" posts in here after Heard's confession audio got posted, while the most he said about her specifically was that she was "responsible in part." Posting about both of their past, I could get. But, by her own words we know she beat him up. And I just can't wrap my head around hearing someone confess to DV and then spending multiple posts attacking their victim while barely mentioning said abuser.
You get lots of people shared my take that they both were responsible and abusive right. I had a few posts about Depp because people were trying to treat his PR team dump as complete absolution which is just as silly as thinking she didn't have responsibility in all this too. I called her explicitly abusive.
FWIW I know someone who used to work on Depp's yacht and she mentioned how awful Heard was even before all the DV stuff.
