In town for a conference, got beers at Moon River and ate at Circa 1875 last night. Burger is really good there.
Staying at Cotton Sail this weekend with the family and then headed over to Tybee for the week. Looking forward to it. What would be the best place for brunch on Sunday? Need a place that is kid friendly.
It's awesome. Unbeknownst to us, they were having fireworks on the river the night we were there. It was really cool.
Went back to Savannah today and being much cooler than last time I went made it a much more enjoyable visit. We walked around a bunch of the squares and the park as well as the river area and went to Sandfly BBQ at the streamliner. Food was delicious and the staff knew half the people there by name. Also tried Leopolds ice cream, SIL said the wait is always too long for her and she wanted to know how it was, line out the door and the staff said it was pretty slow today and normally line down the street and around the corner. Was good. Got a lot of walking in too, should've worn better shoes
Bump for recs. Here for a couple days for work. Going to Vic's on the River tomorrow for dinner but looking to drink tonight and watch the Stanley Cup finals

I went to Sandfly BBQ at the Streamliner when I was there a month ago and really enjoyed it. Small place with good food and good sweet tea. Staff was awesome and knew like half the people coming in by name
Yeah I had seen that they have 2 locations and believe this one was closest to where we were so we walked through the squares and the park to go there. It was much more enjoyable in the low-mid 70s walking around than when I went a few years ago and it was around 90
If you're downtown J. Christopher's was good. http://jchristophers.com/ Also, Pink House was pretty cool and good food. Not sure if they do breakfast
need to take a few people out for a nice dinner in savannah so looking for recs was thinking the grey cause it's the one i've heard of
AJs Dockside is the best option on Tybee imo. For sure go there for sunset. Sundae Cafe if you want something a bit nicer. North Beach Bar & Grill and Fannies on the Beach, for beachside spots. But Savannah food is much better than Tybee tbh.
Ive avoided doing them fortunately. Almost had to go on a Bike one July 4th but I weaseled out of it. Im sure if you have kids they may like it....most allow you to drink on the tour. There are also ones that feature pubs. But they all seem like tourist traps.
we have 12 and 15 year old girls, if i'm forced to do a ghost walk i'll makw sure to find the one with the pubs.
Staying in downtown Savannah tomorrow night. Tell me where I need to go eat and get a drink. Looking for a nice bar/higher end type place.
Husk does source local which is nice. I've alwas been a fan of the ole pink house. Piano Bar is in the basement. There is a "new" bar on the back with a street view that I have never enjoyed too.
Been in town for the past couple weeks for work. I’ll endorse Treylor Park, Sorry Charlie’s, and Vinnie Van Go Go’s Pizza
I will be in Savannah again this weekend looking for a cool spot. Is The Grey still the place to go or has something else ascended?
I enjoy Trailer Park and I think it’s called the green truck for easy eating. I had a fast food pita at a Georgia chain restaurant called Ranya’s (I think) they have a sauce called shit yeah sauce and it is delicious... Edit: chain was called Zunzi’s it was delicious
Hotel recommendation - Perry Lane was awesome. https://www.perrylanehotel.com Basically Ritz Carlton level service and I think we paid less than $200/night.
My go to for work travel is hotel indigo, they have a pretty decent gym, but my last trip the gym was closed thanks to covid. They also didn’t give me my two free drink vouchers because the bar was also closed. treylor park is good, try the peanut butter and jelly wings. sorry Charlie’s is good vinny van go-go’s pizza is pretty cool, only take cash All downtown by the way, and very walkable. also rooftop bars, cotton sail for the river view and sorry Charlie’s has one over looking the park.
