Well the far and away best place in town (Crafted) is closed Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm assuming you want to stay fairly close to where you're currently at, so either Thai House. Cowiche Canyon, or Yakima Steak

Could head to Gasperetti's but it's in the shittiest part of Yakima, which is saying a lot.

Cowiche Canyon’s menu isn’t doing much for me, but it’s super close and highly rated.

    How’s Purrr?

Cowiche's menu is always a bit of a joke, in my opinion. Haaaa been to Purr once. I think it's supposed to be a gay bar :idk: but their food isn't anything to write home about.

Take a peak at Yakima Steak Company maybe?

I’m an imperfect vegetarian, but Yakima Steak’s menu >> Cowiche.

God-speed at finding anything vegetarian besides salad in this town

Also, I’m legitimately pissed that Crafted is closed. It’s a damn fine establishment, of which there is exactly one here. You’re rolling solo, so you wouldn’t be able to get my recommended experience , but for its absurdly low price point ($70 per person with a 2+ person requirement for the chef’s table, which is an 8 course meal) I’d put it up against pretty much anything in the state.

    Fuckin A right it is.

I edited my original post, so you may have missed my added gasperetti’s rec. It’s in the worst part of town, but Italian.

Think im gonna roll with cowiche after 1-2 more beers at single hill.

Checked out Wandering Hop before i checked into my hotel, liked it better than single (but both are still very good).

Wanted to check out Bale Breaker, because i see their cans all the time, and fucking love their Top Cutter IPA, but it’s outside of the city/not walking distance

Yeah Bale Breaker is way off the beaten path. They have tons of delicious stuff out there that either doesn’t get canned or doesn’t really make it out of their tasting room. Not sure what their thought process is with that, but hopefully they get it figured out soon.

There are so many Seattle breweries that brew amazingly good beer, but don’t distribute — I’m sure it’s a $$ issue I’m not privy to ... but man it’s a noticeable difference

Of course I saw this thread only after I finished booking everything...my wife and I will be traveling to Seattle for four days at the end of February. It will be our first visit to the pnw.

We are staying at Hotel Andra.

We are planning to do aquarium and/or some museums one day. We will visit some wine tasting rooms in Sodo development one day.

I currently have dinner reservations at Opus Co, Adana, and Dahlia Lounge.

We would also like to do an Omakase sushi dinner one night. Is Kashiba worth the wait? How early would I need to get in line on day a Wednesday to secure two spots at the sushi bar? Or are other places which take reservations nearly as good? I've seen numerous recommendations for Sushi Kappo Tamura itt and I could book something there in advance.

Did I fuck this up massively? Any tweaks or further recommendations?

You're staying right next to the market, i left some tips for dollarbillhokie on the previous page for areas around there.

I've never been to the aquarium, but it has an awful reputation. Seattle Art Museum is really cool.

Kashiba is really good, yes worth the wait. Could also do Shiro's (same owner, same chef). You can call Shiro's and see if they have any reservations available. Out of the three reservations you listed, I've only been to Dahlia Lounge. It's good.

Not sure of your preferences, but 2nd Ave in Belltown, right next to where you are staying, has a ton of great dive bars. Some other places in that area:

-No Anchor - super cunty beer bar with some small plates
-Navy Strength - cool craft cocktail bar right next door to No Anchor
-Tilikum Place Cafe - amazing breakfast/brunch
-The Nest is a dope rooftop bar, but won't be able to enjoy any views because of the weather

It's a small museum, but I went to one about the gold rush in Seattle and it was pretty good. You learn about how people came to Seattle to get outfitted before making the trek up to the Yukon. Cool seeing stuff like the recommended list of supplies for each man, etc

About to takeoff from LAX. Staying a few blocks from Cloudburst, so could use a restaurant rec in the area. Will probably hit Holy Mountain tonight as well.

I went to Holy Mountain this past Sunday, they have an IPA right now that is the tits.

    Food in the area:
    • Al Basha - awesome Mediterranean/gyro spot, open until 2 AM
    • Bangrak Market - new thai spot, is awesome
    • Cyclops - local bar with really good food. American-diner-style
    • Shiro's - famous sushi spot, if you're dining on the company dime
    • Umi Sake House - less expensive, lesser sushi spot, but still really good
    • Doner Box - small doner kebab place that opened recently, really good

It might be the worst aquarium in the country, dont waste your time. The Zoo is dope though, but its a 15 minute uber from downtown. Everything else looks solid.

Some Random Bar is my go-to spot in the neighborhood. One of the best beer lists in the area (and one of the few bars that gets both Cloudburst and Holy Mnt taps).

I think they have the best chicken wings in the city -- but they're Asian/fish sauce style, so not traditional.

Those are obviously the high traffic areas, but I imagine you'd pay an arm and a leg for rent.

SoDo/Beacon Hill/Georgetown -- areas south of downtown -- are really up and coming and could probably save some $$$.
