Crazy thing about the shitty G-Shock I posted... I bought it off Amazon 12-13 years ago for around $100. That model apparently has a cult following. I've seen that model sell used for close to $1k
For $7-8k, I feel like a Rolex would fit nicely into your collection. I like both of the below. You could obviously look at a Sub too. I have one. It's well made, can be worn with anything, will last forever, and is fun to wear.
I agree. The Datejust in Rhodium is under consideration... I just really don't think I want a Rolex. I prefer something a little more unconventional & not seen on multiple wrists daily. Not throwing Rolex shade. I respect the brand, but just don't think it's my thing
I also love this watch, and it fits the sporty and dress watch since it comes with a leather strap. In your price range too.
Just checked. If forced to work off the top 5, get the Rolex Datejust in Rhodium. Or double up and buy the Nomos and the Tudor.
Ok. I just think the GMT might be more timeless and the 58 more trendy. I love it, don’t get me wrong but it’s so hot right now.
The size & fit is why I love it. The heritage look is trendy, which is why I'm holding out to see if they roll out other color options.
Just left AD for IWC, Grand Seiko, Tudor, & Rolex: IWC - Had several Portugiesers that I drooled over Grand Seiko - might add a Swing-Drive down the road, but hard pass for now Rolex - zero fucking inventory, but put myself on list for Date Just - Rhodium... just in case Tudor - Had a BB58 w/ bracelet. Was tempted to just buy it. So nice on my pencil wrist. Fits perfectly into everyday wear category I’m looking. * Now I just need to get the wife to book her fucking Italy trip, so I’m greenlighted
So this dude 'Horology House' who ran a great channel on YouTube has just gotten completely exposed as ripping people off for hundred of thousands of dollars acting as a dealer. I didn't even know he was dealing, just thought he was doing the YouTube channel. His channel has gotten deleted, but my guess is many of you had seen his videos. This dude. Click on the IG profile for much more.
I'd like to change out the band on my Tag Heuer multi-tone pro 200m from the standard metal to a dark brown leather. How do I go about this and what should it cost?
Met with one of our business partners today and my connection was wearing a Tudor. Asked him about it and he was shocked I could pick it out.
I got an update on my Oris which has been at Jomashop service center since MID NOVEMBER. I give them credit, they passed it along to the only authorized Oris service center in the US. Who needs a manufacturers warranty
Think I am going to grab an omega seamaster Aqua terra. Wife really likes it. However before pulling the trigger what else should I look at in the sub $7k range and how comfortable would you be buying off chrono24? Scares me that I could buy a fake.
buy a watch tool off amazon/ebay, pick a band you like off amazon/ebay that matches width - ie: 20mm, 22mm, etc, and watch a youtube video. Really easy to pop out spring bars and change straps, done it plenty on my seikos.
Nay, but only because I feel like there are better Pandas out there. I prefer the El Primero, Navitimer & Cosmograph
Depends, if it's the SKX009 then it retails ~$200-250 or so. I've got a black and pepsi SKX that I haven't worn in a year since I got my Explorer II 16570.
Looks like a SK or SKX with stock jubilee, others may know better but I think the difference is one is made for Japan and the other America. I picked up mine with the black rubber strap bc I had every intention of putting on a nato bc I prefer oyster bracelets to jubilee. Anyone see the Timex M79 today? This is 40mm and I like it so much better than the quartz version they put out last year which was 38mm. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rel...he-iconic-q-timex-1979-reissue-301003725.html
I didn't know it existed & is pretty rare... Tempted to go back & buy just to resell. Should be able to almost double my £££, when back in the US Spoiler
