it’s the country club district, there are several CCs in the area, but it’s a district of historical neighborhoods on both sides of the state line. not sure how many have HOAs but most of the older neighborhoods HOAs have expired
anyway if you want acreage I’d look at Bonner Springs, Spring Hill, Gardner, or up north in MO. Reasonable acreage is gonna be a ways out. KC real estate is more expensive than people usually think it is.
On to more pressing matters, whats the starch that accompanies my breakfast meal? Grits, potatoe variety, or biscuit (bonus points for gravy)?
I am but a harbinger of truth. If burnt end hash is your destiny, you must seek them out yourself. Godspeed.
Dez would be a good add if they have room on the roster, IMO - he’d make it even more difficult on defenses in the red zone & on 3rd down
Was just talking to the guys at Brookside Wine and Spirits about the Chiefs beer soon to be released.
Pat is at the Wilder Fury fight. They showed him waving around a slot ticket. I wonder how much is on that thing.
I watched the 2017 NFL Draft the other night for obvious reasons and something I hadn't ever heard was Mel Kiper saying we tried to trade up and get Paxton Lynch the year before but were unsuccessful. Thank God that didn't happen.
a good rule of thumb is to figure out which QBs elway is interested in and then go in the opposite direction
I love Jones and I want to keep him but there has just been so much smoke over the past year that a trade seems inevitable. I'd love to be wrong though.
I struggle how anyone can watch our defense right now and think we’d be able to be anywhere near the same without him. He’s the second most critical player on our team if we want to win big
But, it's the NFL, you can't keep all your stars forever. I don't think the Jones situation will end well. It may not be this offseason, but I don't think the Chiefs are going to give him Aaron Donald money. And I'm sure Jones isn't exactly the happiest guy in the world after what they paid Clark while ignoring his contract. I do think the Chiefs have shown they can unearth decent front 7 guys in the Reid era, and we poached Daly from NE last year and he's by all accounts among the best DL coaches in the game. I'd bet the FO thinks they piece together a good portion of his production for a fraction of the money. Not sure I agree, but I think that's probably their attitude.
thinking we pick D or offense in the 1st round? I'd love to see us take a linebacker if the right player is still there.
Funny thing is the Chiefs would have got him if the NFL didn't strip away their 3rd round pick because of the Maclin bullshit. What a blessing in disguise. They got Chris Jones and Patrick Mahomes instead. A++ I don't think they can keep everyone, but I don't believe CJ is going anywhere this year.
I assume we pick D, but I love the idea of going after Ruggs, just for the hilarity of it all and watching clown shows like the rest of the AFC West try to keep up.
As for the pick itself, the Chiefs need to lock in on BPA. If they can get a first round talent that late, it's a win.
one time at sprouts Chris Jones once told a girl I was banging that he liked her shoes so I’ll let him know that he should stay here another year
This is where the issue lies. Jones definitely deserves to be paid big but the fact we haven't done it yet is why I believe it probably won't happen. We have likely given our offer, he's given his, and neither side is willing to budge. I really, really hope we can lock him up long-term but I'm skeptical. As far as the draft tonight, there isn't a position group that I feel like we must have. CB, LB (always), OL seem to be the most pressing needs but I wouldn't be that upset if we went WR or RB. I think we trade down imo
As much as I love Jones I’m just not sure where they find the money to pay both he and Mahomes and not have some massive holes on the roster.
the mahomes contract alone will put a squeeze on the rest of the roster and unless the chiefs plan to turn into the rams and invest all of your money in two players then it seems like jones will be on his way out eventually. May as well trade down and try and accumulate a bunch of day 2 picks and hope some of those players can fill a gap
They already have Jones for 2020 and could extend him in 2021 with a small first year cap hit and could find a way to keep them together in 2022 by spacing out a Pat extension. I think it will take an offer like the 49ers got to trade off Jones.
CEH fits very well with what the Chiefs want to do on Offense and he carried the fuck out of that rock during the run for LSU. and they love them some LSU backs
Would’ve liked to trade down and acquire another pick or two but I’m fine with it. Just another weapon for Andy and the offense.
I think that's what they were trying hard to do, which is why nearly the entire 10 mins were used up. Too many good players slipped and the Packers fucked it up by taking Love. Oh well. I'm just happy they did a pick good.
Really would like to see us address the defensive backfield or interior o-line. I think there's a sharp dropoff at CB after Diggs, Fulton and Johnson (who will be gone by 63), so I wouldn't be opposed to a versatile safety. There's a chance that six safeties could go in the 2nd or early 3rd round, so a guy like Kyle Dugger or Ashtyn Davis that can slide inside and play nickel would be nice. This isn't a great draft for OC or OG, but a guy like Lloyd Cushenberry or Robert Hunt at 63 would provide a nice option at some positions of weakness.
