I mean, it's each person's choice what they wear and don't wear on a plane. I understand that we can't stop living our lives because we want to avoid the virus. However, I understand that it's a relatively communicable disease, and that there's always a delay between onset of symptoms, testing, confirmation, and release of information to the public. By the time you see a cluster of cases, it's safe to assume it's already well underway, and that there are a number of infected, pre-symptomatic people out and about.
My wife’s hospital today removed gloves and masks from publicly accessed areas because staff, patients and visitors have been stealing them.
Is there any indication or expectation that symptomatic individual are more likely to transmit or does that not even matter?
The early thinking is that they are less likely to, which is why WHO and HHS policy has been to not test unless symptoms show. There is growing controversy over the policy. It became politicized in Italy.
Azar is still the chairman of the task force, and Pence is leading it. Which one is the asst. regional manager?
All outgoing communications/updates must go through VP's office. So no negative updates I guess. Meanwhile the child king praises himself as we all wonder what's really happening.
https://www.kcur.org/post/what-1918...-about-dealing-outbreaks-coronavirus#stream/0 Never realized Kansas's potential relation to Spanish Flu.
That’s why I posted earlier about the CDC. Tonight my wife: “The CDC said today blah, blah, blah”. I asked “Do you believe the CDC?” She hates Dear Leader and I thought she would get it. Instead she is all, “Well, data is questionable from China, etc...”. I asked, “But everything’s going through Pence now. Can you believe anything arrributed to the CDC?”
I don’t know if it started in KC or not. Soldiers came back from France to many locations. Go walk through any local cemetery in the USA and you will see boucou headstones marked 2018.
Sounds like nobody knows where it started for sure. Just had never heard Kansas floated as an option. Interesting about Pendergast since only knew about him from his connection to Harry Truman.
Flu death rate is .05%. That’s for all age groups. No biggie, COVID death risk is only 4-8x more than flu if you’re under 50.
Idk about you guys but I’m a yuge fan of Teddy Pendergrass and all them solid gold jamzz RIP big feller
As I understand it, the death rate for COVID is WAY lower in reality than is being reported because the majority of people don't get sick enough to seek medical attention. The reported death rate is from people that DO seek medical attention
Not sure if you are talking about this outbreak or just in general but hand sanitizer should only be used when soap and water are not available. It is nowhere near as effective and then it gives you a false sense of security. Wash your hands with warm soapy water, cover your mouth/nose with your elbow while coughing/sneezing, and avoid touching your face.
A big group from Italy is flying here today. So that should be fun. Viruses love cold dry weather and we are an arctic desert in peak flu season.
Right on the edge so my risk is still relatively low. But it’s even lower since I maintain optimal physical conditioning and and I’m always ready for an emergency.
That’s true, it’s probably lower than the 2.3% being reported. But even if it’s .5%, that’s exponentially higher than death from flu risk.
Dipshits who have no business using them in day-to-day life are going to create a shortage for healthcare workers who actually need them.
We have an obscene amount of masks/gowns/all that shit leftover from Ebola. We accidentally got roughly 20 times more than we needed from FEMA. I will now begin selling N95 masks. The bidding begins at $40...for one mask.
This disease started in the worst places to get accurate, real info. China and Iran won't let the real numbers get out I'm going out on a limb and saying NK may get wiped out. No way that country hasn't seen it and is in no way prepared to deal with it
seeing a lot of people talk about their 401k and i just want someone to level with me here.....what is a 401k
http://www.migal.org.il/Migal.covid Didn’t realize this was tied to avian bird flu... Four years in the making with a vaccine seemingly like five months out.
Can't wait to find out health insurance companies won't cover it or will price it out of reach for majority of Americans
