That sucks. We have advanced restrictions going on, but will make exceptions for end of life visitations.
nothing absolutely nothing. You’re helping so many out right now. Me being one of them. I want to thank you. You have been amazing through this shit.
One of the few non-lawyers on the-mainboard.com. Half the docket is probably filled with better human beings than you though, at least the persona you're portraying.
Not sure what current argument you have going either of them, but public defenders are overworked and vital to the possibility of modicum justice in America, as a treat. Seriously everyone should read the Cadaver King and the County Dentist. You'll be filled with such absolute incandescent rage you'll just start laughing at the absurdity of our criminal justice process and bite mark analysis in particular.
every PD I interact with is good people but also is radicalized by the experience to some disagree not necessarily in a bad way
We don't have to live in hell world. But I'm told voting against hell world is politically untenable in a democracy.
It’s a nightmare. Over 500 employees and contractors out of work on my end - some of the most talented chefs in the city are moving back home with their parents and friends of mine that have built their groups for 20 years are about to be back to square one. We have to get rid of a lot of food and were told that we would not be allowed to donate the product or to cook it and give to employees when they came to pick up checks. wtf LA No words.
Restaurants around my way had shifted to keeping the door cracked for carry out and delivery but over the past day or so they've been dropping like flies, realizing that they can't even do that. It's awful.
Yes. The last CDC crowd restrictions did our company in. I don't know for 100% sure yet, but the sudden early AM meeting that's required attendance for everyone and the company effectively shutting down for a long while says a lot.
Was in the industry at a place whose sister company is a 3 star michelin. Cool story I know, just trying to communicate that we took preventative measures above and beyond for cleanliness. We wore masks, gloves, sanitized every workspace in between tasks, etc. Tonight was our last night open and we had to clear out the walk in/prep area of perishables. All I took were eggs that were in shells, a sealed gallon of milk, and a 10lb bag of rice I had ordered for myself from our supplier on Wednesday. I didn't even trust our own staff with being asymptomatic when people were taking excellent looking produce and shit that couldn't be frozen. I think if you want to support local businesses you should buy gift cards but I am not going to be eating out for a few weeks. There's simply no way to tell who could be contagious, exactly how it's transmitted, etc. It's weird following a thread like this, full of strangers to me irl that kept me so informed. I was prepped with food a week before the governor ruled in CA and people at work called me crazy as late as Thursday. Kudos to everyone keeping this shit so current and I hope every last one of you fucks stays safe. Long live theTMB.
It's obviously the only profession one could have to be able to care about the poor and less fortunate instead of fantasizing about getting to shoot them in a pandemic apocalypse fever dream.
Bidet sprayers are a game changer and you're a Neanderthal if you disagree. I'm prepared to die on this hill. And I don't even like C A N E
That’s bizarrely similar to the 2008 show Dead Set where the Big Brother cast discovers that the zombie apocalypse happened.
SIAP but clinical trials beginning. Good read, amazing shit. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/new...trial-investigational-vaccine-covid-19-begins
group of teachers went out for drinks Sunday night after SC announce school closures. we have to go in today to prepare for distance learning and one of those aforementioned teachers just texted our group that she has a fever and is curious as to whether she should come in or not. unrelated but she’s a devoted skyline fan
Goes without saying but all of yall that are going to be unemployed for a time go to the unemployment website for your state and fill out the paperwork ASAP. It take a awhile to be processed.
Bridge loans available from the state of florida for any small businesses down here that need it: https://www.wjhg.com/content/news/G...usinesses-impacted-by-COVID-19-568843491.html
I’m not, thankfully. With the very real and not made up by lunatic goobers threat of large groups of poor people roaming around to murder middle class nurses, those guys are going to be severely overworked!
I know this is small potatoes compared to “my inside source says there will be a national quarantine” and not exactly surprising but the Ohio Health network has had a bunch of positive Covid tests not made public yet.
Bout to head into a meeting with about 20 people. It’s mandatory every morning. They don’t give a fuck.
School called us in to give us distance learning requirements. 70 teachers in a small room. We are all going to die
they’re not the state. Multiple nurses calling off in different locations because they believe they’ve been exposed . For all the props Dewine has gotten for swift public responses, like everybody else we’re still woefully unprepared.
I asked about this the other day, good morning America just said tht the issue with supplies at stores is getting them from distributors to the stores themselves. Truckers are working insane OT, which can't be good long term It will be interesting to see how the national guard is used starting the next few weeks
