Still need a left tackle and right guard but that's a good start. This feels like when we let Mitchell Schwartz go on a really good deal but the opposite
For the first round tackles, does opinion change on the board knowing they'll be a LT? The Iowa and Alabama guys I thought were more RTs, and Louisville guy an LT but maybe I'm wrong on that.
Thank god that dickhole Farva can’t read these threads anymore, he would be devastated to read the news.
solid moves for the browns so far baker used his tight ends in college, so this marriage can still work
Best RT available Best TE available Best QB2 available word is we are talking to a LB, S and DT as well.
he used Njoku in 2018. It's hard to remember considering he was hurt this year, the rest of the TE room was embarrassingly awful, and his HC/OC were dumbasses that didn't know how to shape an offense. Hooper + Njoku should provide great outlets for Baker, who has always had a lot of success hitting the seams
Love the moves so far. Didn't love making Hooper highest paid TE, but it is what it is. Bring in the talent. Go grab a LB and possibly S. Draft another Tackle at 10 and let's roll.
Malcolm Jenkins is a free agent. He's old but he's still pretty good. I'd be interested in seeing what his price tag is
Malcolm has been a playmaker ever since he started playing at OSU. I’d take him on a reasonable deal.
One other consistent thing I’ve heard about Malcolm is he is a big leader in and out of the locker room. This young team could definitely use some solid veteran leadership.
Sounds like we're sniffing around trading for Anthony Harris from Vikings. We're willing to give a 3, but Vikings want a 2? No thanks for pick 10 in the 2nd round for me.... not trading that for a soon-to-be 29 year old who wants 13m+ per season. one of our 3s, sure, take it.
hooper is an overpay, but if you're going to do that, do it for good players. certainly beats throwing 7-8M per year at dwayne bowe and kenny britt
Kittle's contract next off-season will blow past his for biggest TE contract of all time, but I doubt we'll ever feel this contract is a "value." I think he'll produce well, and I'm still fairly happy we did it, but it's a very expensive contract. The combination of needing a TE + weak TE draft + weak TE market justified the overpay, but it's an overpay.
Fair enough. I think he's going to fit in well to the scheme and I'm hopeful Stefanski is much better than Kitchens which is still a very low bar
Browns back-to-back off season champs?? They seems to be doing a lot of good things here. Have a decent draft and they basically address/improve every area of need, right?? Hate to be optimistic......
adding and not subtracting OL this offseason has me more excited than last one. OBJ was a luxury, not a necessity. Get that OL strength up and have a competent coach at the top.... doing well hopefully on both
