Those boys weren't lying in the group thread. I saw it on Twitter as well. J was serious about that 7am meeting tomorrow.
Not that I ever go to Broadway, but now I know for sure which places to avoid if I ever make the mistake of going down there again.
Yea these owners are probably all millionaires and this just shows they don't give a fuck about their employees or customers (if you didn't know that already). When have friends or family visit they always want to go at least one night down Broadway, we will only be taking them to bars that closed down during this.
So public officials in Tennessee know that there was a “public event” with an infection but not telling the general public what the event was? (They’re telling the people who were in attendance). Anyone have any idea?
Theres got to be more than that in Knoxville, Memphis and the rural areas. They just aren't testing enough.
Gents, it's going to be really REALLY important that we support our local businesses over the next few weeks. Marche, BIG ALS, all these local breweries, etc,. --- they can't survive without US or investors. Not all of them have the latter. I'm literally begging all of you to support Big Al's Deli over the next few weeks. It's the best breakfast and biscuits in town, run by the most selfless man I know, and all they want to do is give back to the community. Fuck, Germantown doesn't even consider them part of the neighborhood -- so go support the best restaurant in Salemtown!
Big Al's is awesome. If you go there and find that there is a way for me to support him all the way from Denver, let me know.
He's getting his website updated right now to do online ordering and is now offering family meals and dinners He just posted in the East Nashville FB page, so he should be busy for a while. Nicest guy I know.
One of our neighbors apparently somehow shot himself in his leg last night while walking his dog and bleed out. We looked outside when we saw all the cop lights flashing and you could hear the dog screaming/crying. Sad shit.
I mean I'm not gonna make a remark like that about a guy that died. He apparently kept it in his front pocket when walking his dog at night and something happened that caused it to go off. He was an older gentleman that worked at Nissan. Apparently just got married a couple months ago. Just a sad situation.
Nashville health dept. issues Safer At Home order because Lee is trying to distinguish himself as the governor who does the least to address this crisis https://www.tennessean.com/story/ne...now-coronavirus-tennessee-weekend/2889594001/ What you can still do: Go to the grocery, convenience or warehouse store Go to the pharmacy to pick up medications and healthcare necessities Go to medical appointments (check with your doctor or provider first) Go to a restaurant for take-out, delivery or drive-thru Care for or support a friend or family member Take a walk, ride your bike, hike, jog and be in nature for exercise — keeping at least six feet between you and others Walk your pets and take them to the veterinarian if necessary Help someone to get necessary supplies Receive deliveries from any business which delivers What you should not do: Go to work unless you are providing essential services as defined by the order Visit friends and family if there is no urgent need Maintain less than 6 feet of distance from others when you go out Visit loved ones in the hospital, nursing home, skilled nursing facility or other residential care facility, except for limited exceptions as provided on the facility websites.
Any advice on best grocery stores to hit up....I heard today that Whole Foods downtown is basically empty cause most people dont know its open yet. Additionally, I've seen a lot of "Asian grocery stores are stocked because people are dumb"....which leads me to ask, does anyone have a favorite Asian grocery store? Do we have legit ones in Nashville? I did a quick google search and here's what I found - K&S World Market, InterAsian Market and Deli, Bangkok Market, and Fresh&Fresh International Market - anyone have experience here?
Depends on what you're looking for but at this point you probably just have to spend a full day hitting them all up. Everything is getting ransacked now. The Walmart near us enacted a policy of 1 per customer for bread, frozen foods (the same kind like frozen pizzas), and some other items.
Joyland is open. Just gotta keep calling in like you're trying to be the 9th caller on the radio station. But it's so worth it.
K&S on Nolensville is massive and your best bet probably. It’s a pretty insane operation with live fish and shit that they’ll butcher for you in house. Each aisle is a different country IIRC
Kroger by us was pretty well stocked when I went at 7:30 this morning. They limit you to 3 of items like bread and some others, 2 of milk, etc, and 1 of ground beef, frozen chicken, TP, etc.
Its amazing how much easier it is when stores put limits on certain items. If they would have done it earlier you'd probably actually be able to find hand sanitizer and shit right now.
He's not going to. His last public speech was basically "let's pray it away" as he said the storm is passing us over.
Who could have ever seen an HVAC CEO, with zero political experience, being a bad Governor? WHO COULD HAVE EVER SEEN IT?
I despise him so much I told my wife I wouldn't even apply to jobs at his company when I was still searching.
it's really pretty amazing he's dug in this long. We're officially over a week since a group of doctors wrote urging him to issue a stay at home order. He's about as serious about "flattening the curve" as LenDale White was about watching his weight https://www.tennessean.com/story/ne...ge-governor-issue-stay-home-order/2893366001/
Yeah, it's gonna get really bad, very quickly. I have so many industry friends that are struggling right now....and we are only like 2ish weeks into this. It seems like it'll continue for, at a minimum, four more weeks. Truthfully, I just take whatever Trump says and double it and it's been pretty accurate.
We'd be in a lot better place if our stupid ass governor would listen to the medical professionals and issue a state wide shelter in place and enforce it. Words can't state how much I hate that man right now.
